General/C-box/Character/Roleplay Rules

General Rules:

• Respect the Members: Whether they are staff or a normal member, respect all your fellow roleplayers. We are here to have fun, not deal with insults, troublemakers, backtalk,etc. You will first be given warnings, but consistent misbehavior can lead to suspension and even banning.
  
  
• Avoid Drama: If you have an issue with a fellow roleplayer, then send a PM to a staff member. Please avoid bringing it into the rest of the roleplay. Doing so will lead to warnings, suspension, and possibly banning.
  
  
• Keep it PG-13: Naruto is a violent series. We expect heads to roll, decent amounts of blood, light swearing, etc. However, swearing every other word and descriptive sexual encounters is against Proboards rules and therefore should not appear on site.
  

C-Box:

• Leave Drama Out of It: If you have an issue with another member, don't bring it to the C-box.
  
  
• No Spam: Don't spam the C-box with junk, links to inappropriate sites, meaningless posts, etc. It's all right to have a little fun every once in a while, but no 20-something posts of one-two word posts.
  
  
• Do Not Advertise: While you are allowed to talk about other sites, explicit advertising is not allowed. That is what the Advertising boards are for.
  
  
• No animated avatars:You are allowed to have small avatars, but avoid animated ones. They can cause the site to loads slowly for some people. Also note that the C-box avatars should be 45x45. If you cannot resize an image many of us will be glad to do so.

Character Rules:

• No Mary Sues/Gary Stus: Avoid characters that are overly perfect. Good characters have some flaws and quirks in them that make them, well, human.
  
  
• No Custom Uchihas or Unreasonable Eye Stealing: This may disappoint some people, but all the Uchihas except Sasuke, Itachi, and Madara are dead, and the latter is not important to this site. Therefore, we are not allowing custom Uchiha characters. However, since there is precedent for transplanting an eye into a person, if there is a reasonable explanation behind it, we may allow you to do so. This will, however, be limited as we do not want everyone to be running around with a Sharingan, Byakugan, etc.
  
  
• Avoid Overpowering Your Character: You're characters cannot and will not be a god. They can be beaten, they will have weaknesses. Accept this and you'll have no trouble with this rule. Every jutsu has a cost; the stronger it is, the more chakra is needed, and sometimes even more than that.
  
  
• Keep Canon Characters In-Character:If you have taken up a canon character, keep them within their canon personality. Zabuza isn't going to be picking daisy's in a freshly-cut spring field by a babbling brook with a hint of lemon, for example.
  
  
• No Plagiarism: Do not actively copy the work of someone else, whether it is a character, clan, jutsu, weapon, etc. Be unique and come up with your own stuff. It's fine if it's inspired by another work, but don't just go to a wiki and copy/paste the information (exception, of course, being canon jutsu/weapons and such.
  
  
• One Character Per Account: There is one character per account, and the display name should be the characters name. I don't care if the name is first name/family name or family name/first name. I also don't care what the log-in name is since you can change the display name. Do note, however, that there are no Out-Of-Character accounts; all accounts are to be for the express purpose of roleplaying.
  
  
• One Character Per 10 Posts With Them: All members, whether staff or a normal member, start off with one character. After 10 posts with that character you may make another one. After 10 posts with that character, you can make another, etc. This is to prevent people from making a bunch of characters but not do anything with them. If you need posts and are unable to find a fellow roleplayer, you are allowed to have thread by yourself with one post allowed every 12 hours.
  
  
• Run Profile Changes by Staff: If you are adding anything to your profile that is not simply adding in history due to new events in the roleplay, contact staff first to review the material.
  

Roleplay Rules:

• No Roleplaying Till Accepted: Do not roleplay till a character has been accepted. This also means that if a jutus or weapon has not been approved for use (whether custom or canon) you cannot use it in threads.
  
  
• No Powerplaying/Bunnying/God-Moding/etc.: Do not control the other characters. You can not determine the actions of the other character such as their emotions and actions. You can not say you 'hit' them, only that you are attempting to. Exception occurs if you have been given permission by the other person to do so.
  
  
• Literacy Is Important: While there is no official word count, it is expected of you to be able to post a decent amount with good grammar and spelling as well. One liners are looked down upon, but this doesn't mean you have to write a short story every post. Three or so paragraphs is a decent amount for a post.
  
  
• Canon Characters Must Be Active: If you are playing a canon character, you must be active. Lurking is not active, and even if you have posted in the AC, long-term disappearances/not-posting will result in the character being taken away. A month is a good rule of thumb for this. Posting a thread in the absence board can delay this, but if it is determined that is being abused, then it won't count either.
