PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Haku is slim and rather thin for a boy of fifteen but then he did spend several years on the streets. This could stunt his growth and muscle development. He is also short for a boy of fifteen. Haku stands just over five feet in height. He weights under a hundred pounds. He has small hands and feet with long nimble fingers. He gives off the general air of being female and is certainly pretty in the feminine style very naturally. His long hair and semi feminine clothes do not help this. Haku intentionally cultivates this look in order to conceal his weak looking frame behind the ‘helpless girl’ persona. People who do not know him often mistake Haku for a girl.
He has large brown eyes that are expressive and long raven black hair. Haku keeps it up in a bun with his bangs free when hunting. When herb picking he leaves it down and likes to let it blow in the wind. His looks are actually very deceiving in terms of his actual abilities and skills. He is strong but not in the muscle man sort of way. he has a wiry sort of strength. Haku could, if necessary pick up and carry his equal to his master’s body weight though. His real skill however is speed. He is lighting fast and his reflexes could mean death or injury to his opponent. He can get so fast that the world seems to slow down around him.
CLOTHING DESCRIPTION:
Haku’s clothing consisted of two outfits, which were of all his worldly possessions. He had just enough that he could pack up and run at the slightest provocation, or no provocation at all, as Zabuza wished. Both of his current outfits have a purpose, they are useful to Zabuza, and therefore favored by him. One is a Kiri Hunter Nin’s outfit and mask, and the other is a pink sleeveless woman’s kimono, which serves as his disguise while traveling alone and seemly unarmed. Where the pink outfit came exactly from, he did not ask nor want to know really. Haku hopes privately that the kimono is a stolen item, but secretly doubted it. As for the Hunter’s uniform, it is most assuredly from the dead for he had killed the one who had formerly worn it.
The kimono is of good quality and well made. It had a hidden pocket where he could stash a few small items without them noticed. He generally carries a medium sized woven basket when he wore the kimono. It is a soft petal pink but not garishly bright for which color choice he had been thankful repeatedly. Haku always is careful not to get into fights he could not handle in this outfit as it restricts his movement somewhat. Unnecessary fighting is not Haku’s thing anyway. It is better not give the drunken sots a better target or an excuse to chase him. He wore it with a black chocker that he had kept from his time before he met Zabuza, out of habit mostly. This outfit also has the double purpose as the likelihood increased of his skills underestimated while wearing it. That is always a good thing in his line of work especially if you are the one underestimated.
His only other outfit consisted of a turtleneck jacket and pants. It also had a mask to hide his identity, which comes in handy if you are on the run. This is standard dress for a class of ninja in Kiri called hunters. Whose job it is to track down the traitors of their village and kill them. Then they disposed of their bodies. Haku trained in the basic control offensive control of his Kekkai Genkai for a little while in the land of Water leaving it forever with his master Zabuza when he defected. They had stolen this outfit from one of their pursuers not long afterwards. It consists of an olive green striped shirt and olive striped pants. A darker green jacket tied with a similarly olive green sash cover them. He wears it with a mask taken from the dead while traveling or on jobs for Zabuza. Haku tends to go with out it when not on one, as it narrows his field of vision. The mask is mostly white with red out lines. Some added items to the uniform are hair clips and a bun cover. Both are cream colored and look well against his raven hair. They keep his hair out of his way. He also had a traveling pack to carry the spare outfit and some other small items that he has picked up in his travels with Zabuza.

PERSONALITY:
He is completely committed to the one who needs him. He would give his life if it came down to it to see the dream of his precious person become real. This is his one goal in life, his reason for living and for becoming a ninja. In everything, he calculates in how much it will help Zabuza. Haku has an unconscious need of a purpose in life and Zabuza gave that to him. This need is so strong that he does not care really that all Zabuza wanted him for was his Kekkai Genkai. It did not make a difference to him just so long as he is useful. If he is to be a tool, he vowed that he would be the most useful tool he could be, so that he would be around longer.
Haku does have his limits however. He dislikes taking lives unless necessary. He learned his skills with his Senbon so that he could not wantonly take life. He feels that his killing of his father and the other villagers was enough. Haku will wound to the point that his opponents cannot fight any more rather than kill. Make no mistake though he can fight and kill with those needles. He will not hesitate to do so if his master is threatened. In his own way, Haku loves and respects his master deeply.
Haku has a soft heart beneath the ice. He feels concern for those lost as he was before Zabuza took him in. If left to his own decisions he would stop and try to offer at least a little help to people in need. Zabuza keeps on him about this and Haku just smiles and nods before going with him. When traveling He has yet to completely bury his feelings, at best they rest just beneath the surface. In a fight, he is better; he focuses on the goal and does not have time to feel sorry or sympathy for another.
HISTORY:
Born just after civil war rocked his village, where old hatreds ran deep in the village for the poor souls born with special abilities called Kekkai Genkai. Haku lived a blessed life with his mother and father unaware of just how fragile his happiness actually was. His mother knew however for she had lost much of her family to the civil wars. When his mother fled to Snowy Village, she went into hiding for the rest of her life. She left her old life behind in the hopes that her children would be safe and without fear. She did not want to watch her children be forced to fight and die for their country as her brothers and sisters had done. Her life long wish was not to be. Her only child manifested his power at the tender age of six. It began with an ability to manipulate water that was present in the environment. It would progress to creating ice from nothing but the air. The child was so proud of it's ability that it went to show it's mother. She recognized the trick for what it was for it was common in her family. In her rage at the fate she slapped her child and told it was very bad. The child was never to do it again, ever. Unknown to both of them her husband saw the display. This would seal their fate forever.
Before for the sun would rise again Haku would be an orphan and a murderer. the father came home drunk and at the head of a mob of villagers. They wished to hunt and kill the evil monsters that until that very day had lived and worked among them unseen. Mother was making supper as usual when they came bursting in. They were going to torture the wife of the poor farmer for lying to him and spawning that devil of a child. Haku’s father said he would deal with his child himself. They were to keep the child away from water; he could do unnatural things with it. The mother’s worst nightmare was coming true; they had them trapped with no hope of escape from death. Had she had forewarning, she might have poisoned the dinner in order to save her child a worse fate. She not resist and when down easily. This did not stop them from tearing the body apart in a fury.
Haku was confused when Father enter with the rest. The child's confusion turned to horror as it saw it's mother fall in a heap. the child's father advanced with tears dripping unchecked on his face for in spite of everything he had seen he did love his child. the child backed up into a corner as far as it could get from the mob and upset a water jar by a lucky chance. it's father raised his club with apologies on his lips; the child shut it's eyes and threw up its hands to fend off the blow. It never came and a soft thump soon fallowed as the club fell from lifeless hands. The sound caused the child to open its eyes and screamed at the sight. All around it were spires of what looked like ice. The ice had started at his feet and impaled every one in the house. Most were ether dead or fast dying. The ground was slick with blood and the only way out of the house was to crawl beneath the spikes to the door. Haku could not free the people, as he did not know how. When he got far enough away, the ice melted into puddles on reddish water.
All alone and unwanted Haku made his way to a village where no one knew him or his secret. He lived on the streets eating and drinking when and where he could. He slept in alleyways and fought the feral dogs for food scraps. Haku had little mercy for the poor beasts as his own needs came first. He could not be soft hearted if he was going to eat. Haku tried to eat once a week at least and was not above stealing for his supper. He was dirty and his clothes torn badly. This went on for several years until one winter day when he was sitting on the bridge watching people pass by not seeing him. Someone stopped to talk to him and asked him his story in a rather gruff manner. He told his story about how he could do things with water and ice and how he lost his parents. The stranger listened and then offered to give him a purpose on the condition that he used his abilities only as the young man saw fit. He thought about it for a minute then agreed, Haku liked the look in his eyes.
Haku learned quickly and at a fast pace. He had a good teacher in Zabuza was training him to be useful in addition to the normal curriculum of the ninja basics. Haku became good enough to pose as hunter Nin after defecting with Zabuza. this was after they failed to assassinate the lord of water country. He took a rabbit with him when they fled. Haku left without even a backward glance. He felt that there was nothing for him in the country that had shunned him anymore. All he had was the future with Zabuza and his associates. Haku met Kimmimaro Kaguya briefly after the slaughter, which claimed the rest of the Kaguya clan. He felt sorry for the boy but made a choice to leave when Zabuza continued walking.
In the six or so year’s since that day, Haku traveled with and learning from Zabuza, he has grown from a small boy wanting a purpose into a killing machine for Zabuza especial use. He learned all that his teacher taught him and has now surpassed him in speed and accuracy. Haku created his own jutsu with the help of Zabuza and gave practical use to abilities with ice. He also learned advanced anatomy to keep up the ruse that he was a hunter nin and not working for Zabuza.
Now in his fifteenth year Haku deemed he was ready to help fulfill Zabuza’s dream even if he died in the attempt. The one real hitch in that plan was that they lacked funds. That issue solved its self in part by the taking of a new and politically messy job. Earlier that month Gato hired them. The shipping companies head wanted them to kill a bridge builder who would weaken his hold on the half-starved village over which he rules. Haku was privately disgusted by the proposition but thought the pay was good. He knew they needed the money. For that reason he did not object aloud until later, in private.

WEAPONS:
Senbon- these weapons consisted of thin metal needles that have a point at both ends. They are typically not weapons however, as by them selves they have little killing power. Haku could use both to kill or to fain death in another.
KEKKAI GENKAI / CLAN JUTSU:

Water control/Ice release- This unnamed Ice Style ability was the blood inheritance limit of the Clan Haku hailed from in the Water Country. Haku created The Ice style unique to him through Haku's simultaneous usage of the Water and Wind elemental styles. The citizens of the Water Country blamed the bloodline clans for the constant wars and strife. They turned against the bloodlines and murdered many of them. Clan members fled into hiding and tried to avoid using their bloodline abilities anymore, for fear of murder done to them. Haku's mother fled her clan and married a citizen of the Water Country. When he found out that she had passed on these abilities to her son, he murdered her and came after Haku. Haku was ill prepared to control his powers, and lashed out to protect himself. His powers took the surrounding water and formed it into an ice spike protective prison. Though he saved his own life, his knee jerk response to protect himself killed his father in the process. Momochi Zabuza, who saw he could exploit Haku’s bloodline abilities for his own nefarious ends, later found a homeless Haku.
Haku's powers allow him to take water and freeze it into various forms of ice. He also has the ability to merge with said ice or water and travel through it. Haku has the ability to gather water into his hands by the strength of his will alone gather. This was a showy ability, which he does not utilize much now. It also takes energy to move large bodies of water. Such ability allows him to turn ice into Senbon or into mirrors. Haku can also do many of his jutsu through one-handed seals, something practically unknown and impossible to most ninja. This might be a skill unique to his clan or just to Haku himself. He does not know exactly as far as he was aware he was the last of his family. Haku's two primary controlled uses of his ability are Sensatsu Suishou and Makyou Hyoushou. They are jutsu he invented to control his ability in such a way that he could fight with it and not just destroy everything its path. Haku had the ability to take things with him while traveling through the ice although maybe not living things.
CHAKRA NATURE
JUTSU:
~ Water clone jutsu [水分身の術 Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu ] :: The Water Clone Technique is similar to the Shadow Clone Technique except it creates clones out of water. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body. Additionally, water clones only have one-tenth of the original person's power, as stated by Haku. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.
~ Hidden Mist Jutsu [霧隠れの術 Kirigakure no Jutsu ] :: This jutsu envelops the surrounding area in a dense mist, reducing visibility within the affected area. The density can be controlled by the user, allowing them to create a mist so thick that even they can't see through it. Though it can't fool the Byakugan, against the Sharingan it is a most effective technique. Due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan-user will see the mist colored by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
~ Silent Homicide Technique [無声殺人術 Sairento Kiringu] :: As the name suggests, this technique is simply a very quiet method of killing an opponent, usually from behind with a blade. Additionally, because the user is very silent, it cannot be defended against. The user will often slit their opponent's throat, preventing any cry that might give them away. Haku was taught this by Zabuza and while not as proficient as his master at it he is better than most his age.
~ Water Prison Jutsu [水牢の術 Suirō no Jutsu ] :: This jutsu is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. Clones can be used in place of the actual person, provided that the clone is the one that performed the technique. This jutsu can't be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it
~ Great Waterfall jutsu [水遁・大瀑布の術 Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu ] :: Great Waterfall Technique is a technique that forms a strong column of water to attack an opponent. Due to the force of the water, the target will be fully enveloped and at the mercy of the current as they are pulled away.
~ Water Dragon Bullet jutsu [ 水遁・水龍弾の術 Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu )] :: Water Dragon Bullet Technique takes the form of a giant, powerful dragon, created out of water. This jutsu needs forty-four hand seals, the highest amount of hand seals necessary to use a jutsu shown in the series so far. Another drawback to the technique is that it requires the user to be near a large body of water to complete the technique.
~ Ice Spike ::
The ice will manifest by itself unconsciously when Haku was under stress. It was fear and instinctual self-preservation the turned the water on the floor to ice shards that killed Haku's father and the other villagers. He can create ice on instinct but has more control and the ice more strength when it was deliberate. He can even pull moisture from the air and freeze it. It become spikes of ice.
~ Thousand Flying water needles Jutsu [Sensatsu Suishō ] :: Sensatsu Suishou was a Ninjutsu technique, which uses nearby water to form ice senbon. Haku first kicks water into the air with his foot, and as it rose it freeze to form a "thousand" needles. With the hand seal still in place, he can release the needles when needed to have them come raining down on his target.
~ Demonic Ice mirrors Jutsu [Makyō Hyōshō ] :: Makyou Hyoushou was a Ninjutsu technique, which uses nearby water to form long flat ice mirrors 360 degrees around the target. Haku himself then places his body inside one of the mirrors. Once inside the mirror, Haku can use the mirror reflections to confuse his target. Utilizing the reflections, Haku can almost instantaneously move from one mirror to the other. Due to the speed, his target will appear to be moving in slow motion. Because of this, he can unleash numerous needles into his opponent with little difficulty. Using this technique for long periods however, will quickly use up Haku's chakra.

Haku was walking in the forest with a basket under his arm. He was look for herbs as his master could not do so him self. Haku was dressed in a pink Kimono with his hair down. He knew he probably looked like a girl but he did not care. His master gave him these clothes and he would wear them happily, and if any one gave him trouble, he could defend himself quite well. Haku always had a weapon or two hidden in the bottom of his basket. He hid his hunter Nin outfit somewhere safe while he dealt with the basics of living. Haku was in charge of making sure they had food and various other items like weapons as they traveled around looking for work. Haku was quite skilled in the arts of saving lives by appearing to take them. In fact, it was his specialty, which he used whenever he could though Zabuza frowned upon it. He prided himself on doing this task as well as he had learned to do the others. That soft heart of his he considered his one failing and he worked hard to cure it with little success. So far, he had only succeeded in quieting its protests briefly when he fought other ninja.
Haku was humming a tune as he walk and scanned the ground absently for both healing herbs and cooking ones too as Zabuza could not just waltz into Kiri or anywhere else, he guessed, without having a pack on ninja on his heels. Haku himself was not nearly as a moving target. In fact, he contrived his appearance just to be inconspicuous. He could walk around in his civilian clothes without molestation, if he was very careful. The worst he would get, generally, was the occasional stare of a drunkard or the odd rude comment. Something to the effect of ‘you’re cute’ in weird guy terms. Haku even got that from some women on an occasion. He was flattered of course, but politely brushed them off and in some cases; he had to be a little more forceful in getting them to get the point. They were not his type at all really. Zabuza was only living person that he cared about. Two of them were his parents whom he missed every day. Zabuza had become his world and his lifeline. Fulfilling Zabuza’s dream had become Haku’s dream.
Here he was in the wave country and he had not questioned once. Haku was smiling at his luck. He might be able to leave as quietly as he entered. He was to meet Zabuza at the rendezvous point in two hours. He planned to be there early just to be safe. Haku knew that traps could wound if not out right kill the unsuspecting. He had in his years as Zabuza’s weapon, employed just such tricks if push came to shove and he had to kill for the good of the dream. He did not trust there new employer at all. The boss ‘Gato’ was little better than a cowardly slime ball, in Haku’s personal opinion at least. Most people who hire murder done by outsiders were just that. It was their lucky day however as the money from this venture would get them one-step closer to the dream. He does not spend much time thinking about those they will hurt if they complete this job of killing the bridge builder. It made him feel upset for a time. He could do nothing about it. Haku knew that the world was a hard place. He could not save anyone in it not even himself. He knew what he owed Zabuza for finding him and making him feel wanted.
