I noticed your RP forum attempt, and would like to come aboard. You can call me GoatMan, Chris, or as some people know me from the Acura dealership I used to work at, "Ironman".

If anyone would be so kind, is there a particular character application format I should use? I've taken a look at a few applications, but would appreciate any suggestions. Mainly, what can I do to help add to the game?

And, do you mean a character form? You can get the character application in this thread, if that's what you meant. I'm assuming you couldn't find it? x3

Sounds like a theory. We'll give this a go, and see what happens.

Out of curiosity, what would you suggest for sources of character avatars for original characters? I could sketch something out on pencil and paper, but without anything along the lines of Photoshop, I'm rather limited in what I could make look reasonably anime-grade.

For original characters? Hmm~. I generally use icons of characters from other anime and just apply them to my character, like with Izaya, and Hideki. I use Livejournal and Photobucket to find avatars. This comm on LJ in particular. If you'd like, I could try to suggest a character you could use, and perhaps find some icons for you.

If you've got a rough but clear sketch of your character (as in, I can clearly see the lines; don't worry about shading, but intense lineart detail should be a priority) then I could probably vector it out for you. It might take me a while, though, as I'm quite busy at the moment.

EDIT: Wow, sorry, totally forgot this... Can you tell I'm a little tired? xD

If you want to draw it on your own, I can suggest Paint.Net or (surprised Saska didn't) GIMP, which are free art programs that, while not maybe Photoshop level, get the job done ^_^.
