It was a windy day and in the sky the clouds were light gray and arranged in small clusters. It barely rain in the village, but when it did it was welcomed mostly by the younger children that got to play in the rain until it got worse outside. Today, however, Sasuke found himself sitting onto of the Fourth Hokage’s head has he watched the village below him. In the distance he saw small figures walking about the streets as if they had nothing better to do for the day. He knew most of them were completing jobs around the village. His job for the most part was becoming a ninja just like his brother, father, and other family members. He knew the village below saw him has the Last Savior of the Uchiha Clan, however, he knew his brother was out there somewhere and he wanted nothing more than to take his life, he just needed power to do that.
Sasuke closed his eyes and drew up his legs so there where bent and brought his elbows on his knees. He slowly raised his hands and linked his fingers together and placed his chin on his hands. He found it a stress reliever to come up here and just watch people go about their day. He had been training at the training ground a few hours before coming here and knew he would mostly likely go back to training once he got a second wind. He had been trying to pull off Itachi’s kunai trick, but he had only been failing at his attempts so far and he been trying to pull this trick off since he was six. He wanted to know what he was doing wrong and there were no way he could ask Itachi that question now and now no way that he could get help from anyone else.
Sasuke opened his eyes and titled his head back and saw the clouds moving away from the village. It would have been a day that he would train in the rain for a few hours before he got cold, but it seemed the wind at other plans for the dark clouds. ”Figures, the clouds would tease us,” he muttered under his breath. He literally thought that he was the only one up here or even came up here. He was sure that no one from his academy days or Naruto would find him here. The last thing he wanted to do was to put up with those deadbeats over something like this. He did not care to get emotional with anyone and he wanted to keep it that way.

With a windy day, Ino was having some slight trouble keeping her hair from blowing all over the place. That was one issue long hair had, though the more annoying issue was that bigger bang in front kept hitting her in the face with the wind. Still, if Sasuke-kun liked long-hair, she was going to suffer through it. Besides, she looked pretty good with it anyway, so even if he didn’t she would probably be wearing her hair long anyway.
Speaking of Sasuke-kun, Ino was currently trying to see about hunting him down today. It was after graduation, and she hadn’t seen him since. Ino’s face reddened in anger a bit at that, considering Billboard Brow there had been put on the same team as him. Oh, why did she, of all people, get on that team. It was amazing that Sakura hadn’t yet come and rubbed it in her face yet. Well, what did she care? Sure, Sakura got the advantage for the moment, but in the end she was going to win. She was smarter, more beautiful, and overall just a better shinobi than Sakura was ever going to be. Still, if she couldn’t find Sasuke she wasn’t going to win anything.
So that just left the question; where to find him? He wasn’t at the training grounds, or the park, or the school. Right now Ino was currently just heading up the mountain to see if he was up there. And if not, well, it had a decent view; she might spot him or something somewhere. There was a bit of a rush to her step, what with the sky being so gray and all. It looked like it was going to rain, which wasn’t that bad. They needed some rain, to help the flowers and all. There wasn’t a more beautiful sight than seeing freshly blooming flowers with some hints of dew.
Slowly she climbed that hill, and soon Ino found herself being rewarded. There he was, Uchiha Sasuke, just sitting there looking over the village all quiet like. Ooooh, she loved how cool he was. However, this was too good of a chance to surprise him, so Ino had to resist squealing in delight. Instead, she carefully and slowly made her way towards him, and once she was in range she jumped! As she landed towards him, she threw her arms around him in a hug before, in a bit of annoyingly high, squealing voice she spoke.
”Nice to see you again Sasuke-kun! It’s been forever since I’ve seen you!”
While she wanted to hug him forever like that, Ino backed off a little bit and stood back some to let him react. Brushing her hair aside, she stood there smiling at him. Hopefully in this spot the wind was gentle enough to give her hair some life and show off how long it is. If those rumors are true, there is no way he can resist her in this condition.

Sasuke closed his eyes when he realized that the rain was not going to come. He kinda wished that it did mainly so he could sit here and get trench in the cool liquid. However, now that was not going to happen for him and he would be stuck on top of the Hokage looking a people and trying to figure something out do for now. He knew he should be training, but he wanted some time to think about how to go about it for the day, he had been working on expanding his Fireball jutsu with no luck yet.
Sasuke was about to get up and walk around when he heard something coming from behind him. He was not sure if it was just an animal that inhabited the area around here or a person that was stalking around. He was not sure what he wanted to face the animal or the person. He knew if they spotted him that he would not have too long to decided what he was going to do or even if he had a chance to do something about it. The last thing he wanted was to deal with anyone. He knew that only time would actually tell what it was that was lurking behind him.
He let out a small sigh to himself when he thought whatever it was behind him was gone, but his sigh of relief only faded when he heard more movement behind him. Before he could even turn around to react to whatever it was Sasuke felt some wrap around his shoulders. He didn’t have to glance down to see what it was….it was a person after all…and not just any person.
Sasuke held his eyes tightly has the voice rang in his ears. Yamanaka Ino, a girl from his graduated class from the academy. All he pretty much remembered from her back in the academy that she went head to head with Haruno Sakura who just happened to him placed on the same team as him. The hug she gave sent a small shiver up his spine, but he held it back and when she let him go, he quickly stood up from his stop and looked over his left shoulder at her. ”Annoying just like the Haruno girl.” His black eyes narrowed at her for a second as if they did not even acknowledge that she had ‘missed’ him.
He shoved his hands in his pockets and turned around to walk the way she came. He paused shoulder to shoulder with her. He stared off in the distance before speaking to her in an annoyed tone. ”You are…” at first it sounded like it was a question as if asking her who she was. ”Annoying.”

Sasuke didn’t have much of a reaction when she swung her arms around him. But that was what made him oh so adorable; he was just so calm and cool under any circumstance. She felt the small shiver, which she thought odd, but quickly dismissed as she let go. Ino just smiled when he looked over his shoulder at him, and just stood there as he stood up. He looked at her with narrowed eyes, which soon worried Ino. Did he forget about her? That was the kind of face one made when trying to think hard about someone. Wait, that could be a good thing; he may not remember right away, but thinking so hard meant that he had a purpose in trying to remember her.
However, he just started to walk away with his hands in his pockets, coming right by her. Ino was starting to lose her smile, but he stopped right next to her. This had Ino’s heart start beating faster again, getting to stand close to him like this. He even started to speak, saying “You are…” It sounded like he had forgotten her, but Ino could understand. Sasuke had to be busy training and all that and probably just let her name slip. With a quick reminder he would remember exactly who she was. And then he said “Annoying.”
Ino just blinked for a second, and then looked around to see if there was someone else. No one was there, however, which meant that he had been talking to her. Ino’s mind started trying to think about what that meant. Was it a joke? No, Sasuke didn’t joke, or if he did it was more of sarcasm than anything else. If he was serious though, that was bad. Maybe he was just confusing her with someone else, someone who really was annoying. Yeah, that had to be it; she wasn’t that annoying was she? Then again, maybe he didn’t enjoy being hugged from behind. If she apologized for that maybe she would get a lesser, more kind response from Sasuke-kun.
”Oh, you didn’t like the hug Sasuke-kun? I’m sorry about that. It’s just been so long since I’ve seen you I just got excited. It’s me, Yamanaka Ino from the Academy. I hope Billbo…I mean Sakura hasn’t been giving you any trouble.” she added, wanting to get some information on how Billboard-brow was behaving. Since Sakura hadn’t come running to gloat about winning over Sasuke, it was probably safe to say she wasn’t making any progress with him. That was good, but there was still the fact that by being on his team she had an advantage. Ino was going to have to make the most out of this moment if she wanted to get any success with Sasuke-kun. Oh, and there was one other person she wanted to ask about.
”And how are you holding up with that pain Naruto on your team? I can sympathize with you for having someone like him on your team. Shikamaru and Choji are just as bad as him sometimes.” [/blockquote]

Sasuke was not surprise that he had caught Ino off guard by his statement about how he found her annoying. He did find the battle that she had with Sakura annoying for the most apart. He didn’t understand why they were fighting over him of all people. He only acted the way he did because of the past that was behind him and they was all just too blind to actually to see and know what had happened years ago. He had never talked to anyone about the night, not even the councilors that the Third Hokage made him talk to just days and weeks after the mass killing.
Now he was telling one of the girls off and she only dismissed it as if he was trying to act cool. He was not sure what he was going to do with Ino or Sakura, but it might has well try and get them to leave him alone now so he could focus on what he was trying to do. He knew Naruto liked Sakura, but Ino….was a different story. He had no clue if anyone could really stand the lavender standing beside him and he didn’t know how to handle either one of them yet.
He listened to her when she asked about Sakura and how she was treating him in the group. ”That is none of your business.” He knew he was being cruel, but that was the only thing that he could see to do at the moment. He didn’t care if she hated him for it in the long run, but he honestly doubted that she would. If anything it would only make her flaunt after him more.
He raised his eyebrow when she turned their talk into comparing Naruto with her two teammates. He knew Nara Shikamaru was smarter than what he looked or acted and for Choji there was not much other than big somewhat of a pig that he knew about him. ”I don’t think Naruto qualifies to be compare to those two. And again, that is none of your business. You are not on the time, nor can get me where I need to get to. You lack everything…” He paused for a second and got a wicked idea.
He made sure to step back just slightly and allow his eyes look over her body. He was going to pull at her strings and cause more of a problem between her and Sakura, but at least it would get her off his back for a bit. ”Sakura, as more of a figure than you. What would I want with you?” He gave her a smirk and started to walk past her. He did not know what the outcome of his little comment towards her, but knew he wanted to get out of the line of fire.

Hmm, Sasuke seemed especially off-putting today. Was he in a bad mood or something? He usually just grumbled at her antics; now he was actively telling her to back off. All she was trying to do was make some idle conversation…and spy on what Sakura was up to. Still, Ino wasn’t going to back down; she couldn’t appear weak and indecisive in front of Sasuke after all. Maybe this was all a test on his part; he was being cruel and mean to see if a potential girlfriend was able to stand her ground. After all, Sasuke didn’t want any old weakling to be his girlfriend; the person had to have strength and skill. With this in mind, Ino felt ready to handle anything Sasuke could throw at her.
”I was just trying to be friendly Sasuke-kun. I’ve known Sakura for a long time and she can be quite the pain and handful sometimes.” Ino replied with a bit of a false smile. It was more cause she was trying to resist ranting about Sakura more than anything else really.
When she brought up her teammates and Naruto, he said Naruto didn’t qualify to be compared to them. Hmm, Ino had to agree that was true; Shikamaru was lazy but really smart, and Choji was nice if a bit of a big. Naruto, however, was a prankster, always getting into trouble. He was rash, brunt, a failure at the Academy. Sure, sometimes he seemed nice, but then he got annoying again and, well, that was the end of that. Plus, he stole Sasuke’s first kiss; she would never forgive him for that! The second half of his statement confused her though. The not on the team part she got, but the “nor can get me where I need to get to” was kind of odd. And what did he mean she lacked “everything”? Her scores were just as good as his, if not better (though that was due to him being knocked down in teamwork grade basically). As a ninja, she was the best female one as far as the Academy was concerned. But without knowing what he was talking about, she had to pry for more information.
”What do you mean ‘lack everything?’ Is there some kind of special training you’re wanting. I’m sure whatever it is I can help you with. Trust me, I’m a better ninja than I look like” she replied, though stopping herself from adding “and I think I look pretty good myself.” Even she admitted that sounded arrogant and would have been going too far.
Of course, what he said next took her by surprise. He stepped backed and looker her over, causing Ino to blush just a little bit cause she thought he was checking her out. He then, however, said a very, very bad thing; Sakura had more of a figure than her. Ino almost lost it there, but just barely managed to hold it back. The blush turned more to rage though, and as Sasuke started to walk off, she did her best to calm down. She reminded herself it had to be a test; there was no way that “ironing-board” Sakura could really have a better figure. Sure, a better forehead maybe, if you liked them big, but a figure? It had to be him just messing with her. It just had to be, right? Calming herself down, she caught up to Sasuke and, while holding back as much anger as she could, started talking.
”So you think Sakura has a better figure, huh? What about it do you like so much?”
That would get him; if he was lying, then he would have issues answering that question. Then she would have her proof this was all a game, just him trying to test her. She was going to show him just how stubborn she could be about these sort of things. Besides, Sasuke would just look so cute if she could get him to act awkward and stumble a little. Showing a little softer side and all that stuff. [/blockquote]

Sasuke stood there and listen to Ino talk about how she just wanted some information about Sakura because she knew she could be annoying. Sasuke would have to agree with Ino about Sakura, but he also found Ino the same way when she was trying to come onto him and hang all over him. He just didn’t understand what was going on with girls and their need to hang all over him. He grinned slightly and closed his eyes and let her have her saw for now.
”Ever think that you are just like her in that case, Yamanaka?” He did not want to use her first name at the moment. He wanted to distance himself from her since she was trying so hard to keep him around her at the moment. A last name would do just that right? He wont acknowledge her first name just yet and it was something that he could think of doing right now instead of just trying to walk away. He knew she would most likely follow him and that was something that he did not want at the moment.
Sasuke smirked when Ino asked about what she lacked. He was not sure if she understood anything about the Uchiha clan and what had went through during the academy. He doubted that anyone actually knew what happened that night beside him. He stared in front of him and watched the movements from the brushes for now. ”Grow up, Ino. The world does not rotate around a stupid crush.” He knew she would not get what he was saying, she hadn’t yet. He was not sure how much plainer that he could be with her or Sakura. These girls were going to drive him nuts and there was nothing he could do about.
When he went to walk away from her after making a comment about her figure she called him out about telling her that Sakura had a better figure. He grinned slightly and kept on walking. He never really looked at Sakura like he did with Ino and now it was coming back and biting him in the butt. He was thinking rather fast what to say to her exactly, but nothing came to mind. He grinned and dug his hands deeper into his pockets as he walked away from her.
”What does it matter to you? Hmm you think you could ever be like her?” He was just trying to delay the fact that she had called him out on a buff. He was hoping that she would be mad at him instead of trying to dig deeper into everything. []Blah, press for time now…[]

Yamanaka? Ouch, apparently she wasn’t making as much progress as she thought she was with Sasuke. She even used the –kun with his name, and he didn’t even use her first name. If that wasn’t a sign of there being some difference in closeness here, Ino didn’t know what would be one. And this time, Ino didn’t blow off Sasuke’s comment as a trick or test. Her more confident smile dropped a little, and for once she actually shut up. Oh, she was still following Sasuke all right, but she followed in silence for a second before moving on to the comment about what she lacked and figures and all that. She was going to have to think about the annoying thing later; right now she needed to know what he was thinking of Sakura and whether or not Sakura was better.
There was a smirk on his face when she asked about what she lacked, and he responded by telling her to grow up and that the world didn’t revolve a crush. Well of course she knew that much; after all, she did some things she cared about. Her family, the flower shop, her teammates. Heck, she still cared a little bit about Sakura, even if they were bitter rivals. It wasn’t like she thought about Sasuke every moment of every day…right? Then again, compared to a person who lost everyone like Sasuke did, maybe it did seem a little silly. But if her and Sakura were going to compete fair and square they had to separate like they did. Hmmm, maybe she could try and hold her temper around Sakura just a bit…unless Billboard Brow there decided to strike first. In that case, Ino wasn’t afraid to pull off mutually assured destruction. There was still some hope on her part that maybe it was a test of sorts, but that was slowly being eaten away. Which left a very important question to ask.
”So Sasuke-kun, do you really find us annoying?” she asked. It felt just so weird to ask, and Ino didn’t like to admit she was wrong, which was what she had to do to even ask that question.
Wanting to move the conversation to a more comfortable area, she focused on the comments about figures. Feeling it was a bluff, she decided to try calling him on it by asking what part he liked the best. He grinned again, which made Ino think he was being confident about his answer, but all she got again was a “what does it matter” comment. It was now Ino’s time to grin a little; if Sasuke was so confident that Sakura had a better figure, shouldn’t he be bragging about it a little? Or if he were trying to get her upset, bragging about it would have been a better idea than blowing her off. You'd think by now he would have learned that? It was time to press him on it, though maybe not too much if he thought it annoying.
”Oh, come on Sasuke-kun, I can take an honest opinion. Trust me, it would make Sakura rather happy to have heard that you complimented on her appearance like you just did. I remember when we were kids she was always so worried about this birthmark she had.” Ino said, emphasizing that last bit. It was a ploy. If Sasuke had really been paying attention to Sakura, he’d have known the issue was her forehead, not a birthmark. Taking that into account, if he agreed with anything related to a birthmark, she would know he was lying, and that conversation was over and done with. [/blockquote]

For once when he had said something to Ino she had listened to him and now she was quite. Yet, she was still following him. Sasuke knew that Ino was not really going to buy all the truth he was telling her right now. No one really did listen to him from time to time about things. To him it seemed like everyone wanted to tell him what was best and everything and go on living a lie that nothing happened in the village to the Uchiha Clan. The clan somehow just vanished and yet everyone did acknowledge him as the Survivor of the Uchiha Clan. However, there was one person out that that Sasuke himself needed to handle, but he knew he needed power to do that.
Sasuke took a small breath before he heard her question to him. She wanted to know if he found her and Sakura annoying. It was true he did, but then again he found anyone that stood in his way annoying. To him everyone was there for him to great stronger, but he knew there was not going to happen if he kept melding with stuff that did in involve missions or training; however he could not see himself training a lot with the “Rookie Nine”. He was the top of their class and no one came close to beating him.
”Everyone annoys me. Including you and Sakura.” He had known the girl for a few years and even paid more attention to the people in the class then he had let on. He knew her asking that question had to hit her ego rather hard and right now Sasuke was smirking to himself. He had placed her in a bad choice.
He stopped when Ino started to tell him that she could take an honest answer from him and that Sakura would be pleased to hear something along the lines. He didn’t think this would get back to Sakura, but know that he knew there was a good possible chance it could he was a bit hesitate to even tell her now. The last thing he needed was the girl to being clinging to him every chance she got. Well at least she kept Naruto off his case most of the time and that was a plus for him. Whenever Naruto went to badmouth him the pink headed girl would deck the boy.
He turned his head and raised an eyebrow when she started to talk about a birthmark. Sasuke was not that blind and even he could tell the girl had an oversize forehead. ”Its not her birthmark, its her forehead. Nice try.” He shrugged some and turned back around and started to walk off. He figured that he would go and try and train, but knew Ino was still going to follow him more and he didn’t know what else to do at the moment. Sooner or later she would leave him be right? Oddly enough, being told that everyone annoyed him made Ino feel better. Since she was no longer being singled out for being annoying, she knew it wasn’t anything in particular that she was doing to annoy him; that was just his base reaction towards people. All that meant was that she would have to be less annoying to him and raise herself up! Hmmm, that was going to be hard to do, but Ino was sure she could figure out something. She just had to be annoying just a little bit longer here, maybe try and see what kind of stuff he liked. After all, at this point she had to rely on rumors to figure out what he liked, such as the long-hair girls thing.
Also, it was a little sad that he was “annoyed by everyone.” There was no one he considered a friend, or at least an acquaintance? Then again, he had suffered a big trauma, loosing his entire family and all. Ino had no clue what that would be like, but she really didn’t want to find out. That would explain his coldness towards people…but he couldn’t stay like that forever, right? That was it! If she worked hard to be his friend, to help him break that shell of his, maybe he could brighten up a little! And maybe one day, they could go from being “best friends” to something more. A slower plan than she was used to, but for Sasuke-kun she could wait a little bit. Besides, Sakura was probably developing a similar plan, and had the advantage of being on the same team as him.
”So you find everyone annoying Sasuke-kun? There isn’t one person you don’t find annoying?” she asked. If he did give a name of someone, she could study their behavior and maybe find out how to be less annoying towards Sasuke-kun. Of course, she started a little bit right now by giving him a little bit more space to walk in.
Of course, she still had to delve into this issue with Sakura. She went on to talk about the girl, and Ino hoped her “birthmark” ploy would get some success. However, even Sasuke knew the problem was a forehead; it was too obvious to really work as a ploy. It wasn’t too upsetting when he caught her attempt to trick him. A little frustrated, but not much. If Sasuke really knew Sakura like he said he did, he would have to know something a little deeper than what the problem with her forehead. Ino was quiet for a bit before she came up with an idea, something a little bit personal for both her and Sakura.
”You got me Sasuke, I should have known you would notice even something like that. But that does remind me of something. You know that Sakura and I used to be friends, right? Did, did Sakura ever tell you how we became friends?” Ino said, catching up to him and asking “curiously.” There was a good chance Sakura never told Sasuke about any of that, and while he could give a simple detail about the forehead, she could press him on events that happened when they were friends and details and such. This would be a much better test than just a question about Sakura’s forehead. [/blockquote]

Sasuke thought that once he said that everyone annoyed him that Ino would leave it at that, but he was far from wrong. The next question out of her mouth was asking if there was at least someone that didn’t annoy him. He was not even sure why he was still talking to her right now. The more she spoke the more he was getting a headache over a subject that he didn’t care about. He would have to find some way to get her to leave him alone. However, if he knew her from the academy days; that was going to be harder than being said.
Sasuke jumped down when he reached a small raise in the path he was travelling. He knew the area around here since he often came out here to think about something. She had ruined that for the day and now he knew he would have to be careful about coming up here during the day. He didn’t want her jumping on him all the time from behind like that. Sakura already did that for the most part. He would have to seriously try and avoid her from the time being.
”It doesn’t matter if I have someone that doesn’t annoy me. I wouldn’t tell you if I did anyways. Geez, not only are you annoying, but you ask questions like that idiot Naruto. You two would make a perfect match.” He knew that was not the smartest thing he could have possible say, but he would try anything to get her off his back for now. He knew she would probably see what said as an insult and ramble on about something here soon.
He slowly looked to his left and right to see which of the paths would get him to lose her faster. He stopped when Ino started to talk about how she and Sakura became friends. He didn’t know the answer, but didn’t care either way. He had no reason to ask Sakura about her life before or even now. He had one thing on his mind and that was dealing with his brother for the most part. Girls were annoying for more than the idiot was for the most part.
He turned around and narrowed his eyes at the long blonde female in front of him. His face only showed a face that was annoyed and somewhat stern about something. ”Listen, Yamanaka, I don’t care about yours or Sakura’s friendship. I don’t care how it started or how it ended. Grow up and go bug someone else. I am sure you have a team you could go bug.”
He turned back around and started down the right path. He was not sure how his little speech was going to affect her or anything. He was preparing to hear a month full for the most part. He reached up and placed his hand towards his ear getting ready for just about everything the loud mouth could possible say to him.

Ino continued to follow Sasuke, of course, like a puppy dog. She really wanted to know if there was someone out there that didn’t annoy Sasuke-kun so she could try and be like them. When there was a small raise in the path Ino lightly jumped down, keeping up with Sasuke-kun rather well. Unless he tried to make a run for it, there was a pretty good chance that no matter what he did she would be on his toes. Actually, even if he ran she could probably keep up, at least for a bit. This was starting to turn into quite the challenge, and she didn’t like to loose. Annoying, yes, but she wanted to try and get something through to Sasuke-kun.
Of course, what he said in response to her question was a little…infuriating. He said she was a perfect match for Naruto! Na.Ru.To. W-what in the world would make him think she was perfect for him of all people! She wasn’t some hyperactive, attention-deficit, knuckle-headed idiot like he was! Sure, she asked questions a lot, but that’s because at this Sasuke was being so obtrusive she had to! She wanted to get to the bottom of whatever it was Sasuke-kun was hiding or trying to avoid. Furthermore, it was just a dang question; he couldn’t be annoyed by everyone, could he? If that was the case, then she needed to figure out what the heck his problem was so she could try and help him through it. But being compared to Naruto?! It was enough that she had to forcefully restrain herself from trying to slap him. Had it been anyone else, she would have gone all out on them. Still, it was rather obvious she was mad.
Not wanting to say something stupid, she instead, reluctantly, moved back to trying and keep the conversation on Sakura and trying to trick him into admitting he didn’t know squat about her. Her first attempt failed, so she tried again asking about if Sakura told him about how they met. When he turned around, though, it was obvious that he was annoyed, and was getting rather stern as well. As he talked, telling her he didn’t care (which was good enough for her to know he had been lying earlier) and growing up and bugging her team. First off, she bugged her team already; she was the boss. Second, well, he was the one that needed to grow up some! Acting like a jerk, blowing everyone off, acting like he was better than everyone. Oh sure, she did the same thing, and in moderation it wasn’t that bad, but, but….
Without even thinking, Ino lightly tapped Sasuke so he would turn around, and then quickly went and slapped him on the side of the face, yelling out ”Idiot,” in the process.
After doing so, Ino was breathing a little hard, worked up from all the fury. Between being called Naruto’s perfect match, the “grow up and bug someone else”, and just the overall stubborness and jerkness Sasuke was doing right now, Ino had just lost it. Looking at Sasuke’s face, and then at her hand, she realized what she did, and pulled back a little bit.
”S-s-orry Sasuke-kun. I-I don’t know what came over me and….” Ino realized that she really did know what came over her, and if she just backed down like this Sasuke probably wouldn’t respect her at all. She was going to stand her ground; she liked Sasuke-kun, but it didn’t mean she could completely ignore some of his more negative traits.
”A-actually, I know exactly what came over me,” she replied, more firmer tone this time,”What came over me was dealing with how immature you’re acting. I’ll admit I’m probably acting annoying, but you can’t even talk to people without acting like a jerk you, you idiot. I mean, you failed at teamwork in the Academy. Even that idiot Naruto and lazy bum Shikamaru scraped by that. If that idiot Naruto can figure out at least the basics of dealing with people, and trust me he’s horrible, then you should be able to do so. Do you really want to be worse off than Naruto?”
Calming down even more, now that she got that off her chest, Ino started talking a little more softer.
”Again, sorry for slapping you but, you know, I think you needed it. I’m not trying to be mean Sasuke-kun, but you’re just so cold towards everyone. I mean, that mysterious, cold aura is attractive and all, but you just act so mean to everyone so unnecessarily….” [/blockquote]

Sasuke was surprise that he didn’t get an out rawr from her when he told her that she was acting just like Naruto and that the tow of them were a perfect match for one another. He knew that was the lowest of the low that he could get about insulting her at the moment. He didn’t even care about the words that were coming out of his mouth. He just wanted her to leave him alone and he was not about to go talking about things with her. He saw no point in doing something like that and it was only wasting his time for the most part.
When he had turned around and told her to go bug someone else that might actually care her attitude and mood only darken as he watched her come up and slap him across the face. He was not expecting that from her of all people. He knew that Sakura loved to smack around Naruto when he was being stupid, but for Ino to just slap him like that was something else. He had never been slapped like that by anyone. When he was annoying his brother when he was older he would get a flick in the head, but was about it.
Sasuke was not even sure what he was going to do at the moment. He was just slapped by a girl that was now telling him sorry and that he needed to at least grow up some. She was the first person to even take the time to talk to him really without giving after shutting them down completely. He knew that Sakura would never hit him like that, but Ino was different from her, but he wasn’t sure how just yet.
After what seemed like hours for him to compose himself, which was really only seconds his face turned even sourer towards her. He was not going to hit her like she had done him, no that would just be ‘uncool’ like for home to do. There had to be something else that he could do to even disappoint her and thinking about giving him a lecture like this again. He didn’t want to for the most part mainly because it reminded him of his father and everything.
”You can insult me all you want Ino, but just because I failed at something as pathetic as teamwork doesn’t mean I can’t beat the crap out of Naruto and even you for that matter. You two are just too weak for me to give a damn about. So go play with your damn dolls or something.”
He turned around and started to walk away. He was not sure how far he was going to get at the moment, but he wanted to get as far from her as possible. He didn’t know what gave her the right to go acting like his father for the most part, but he didn’t want any part of it. He knew he would probably got tire himself out with training to get his mind off of things for now. His day was started out good and was just getting worse and worse. [/blockquote]

The comparison with Naruto was low, but Ino had to ignore it to try and get through to Sasuke. She could rant about it later after all. Besides, by now she was starting to see that Sasuke was probably trying to get rid of her. Well, she wasn’t going to let that happen now was she? The cool and calm Sasuke might be ‘cool’, but this Sasuke needed a little bit of talking back too. Her crush was still strong on him, except now it included a factor of wanting to fix him…with a little bit of tough love. That was probably about the best kind she could give to him right now. After all, Ino Yamanaka didn’t take crap from anyone, including Sasuke. Besides, it could also be interpreted as a cry for help; a lonely, bitter, angry guy that just needs the right woman to come along and break through his shell.
Of course, said breaking began with a slap to the face. Childish? Yeah, probably was. Did she regret it afterwards? Eh, a little bit since it was kind of extreme, and a slight fear of Sasuke retaliating, but at the same time it felt good to give him a bit of a slap. Admittedly, even she thought he needed one, just a little bit. That attitude he was showing was a rather dangerous one, and not what she had been expecting from Sasuke. In her own, twisted up thought process, she justified it as a part of that ‘tough love’ he was going to need. Maybe once he found someone actually being able to stand up to his crap, maybe he would show some more emotional side to him? Yeah, that might work; Sakura might be spending all her time with the “cool” Sasuke, but she was going to get the secret soft, emotional Sasuke….after apologizing about the slap.
Oddly enough, though, Ino found that Sasuke didn’t react immediately to the slap. It took him a few seconds before any emotion came to his face. When they did, it wasn’t a positive one, though Ino had kind of expected that. When he started talking, it was telling her he didn’t care and that teamwork was pathetic and blah blah blah. Oh, and he also claimed that he could beat the crap out of her and Naruto and that they were too weak to care about. He then walked off with a order for her to go play with her dolls. She hadn’t played with dolls in years! As he begun to walk off, Ino wasn’t sure what it was that she needed to do to get this point through his head. Taking his words that she was too weak to care about, that meant there was about only one thing that she needed to do; show she wasn’t weak.
”Okay , you think I’m weak Sasuke, I’ll show you weak.” she mumbled under her breath as Sasuke began to walk away. This was her best chance to get him in a surprise attack, so with a slight running start she ran towards him, and just before she got to him, jumped in order to tackle him to the ground so she could pin him. That was about the fastest way she could see about getting him to sit still and listen…or the best way to beat the idea into his head if needed. But she wasn’t going to actually try and hurt him…much. Just enough to get the idea across that she wasn’t as weak as he thought she was. Then again, he thought just about everyone was weak…. Sasuke didn’t care at this point on how Ino reacted to him telling her off again. At this point he was just done dealing with her and it was starting to give him a headache that he would rather not deal with. He knew when he got away from her that he would probably go take his angry out on the training grounds near his house, but for now he would have to get it where he was not being followed by her, so she could not steal another hug from him. It had made his stomach turned slightly when she had sneaked up behind him when she first got here.
Sasuke’s guard was now up. He would not have her getting the better of him again. She already slapped him in his face that he could not really even think about her doing. It was not like Ino to slap someone like that other than Sakura for the matter. Well in fact he had never really paid attention to Ino much to care if she had ever smacked Sakura, but from what he got from Sakura she was well in her right to give it to the pink hair girl. Even Sakura annoyed him for the most part, but at least she kept the idiot Naruto in his place from time to time.
Sasuke caught something being mumbled out of Ino’s mouth, but what it was he could not make out. He bit the inside of his lip and took a deep breath. She wouldn’t try and smack him again right? Her hugging him was out of the question since he had pissed her off about the comment about Naruto and the dolls since he didn’t get a statement from her when he had said it. Right now he had no idea what Ino was planning, but knew it was not going to be something good in the long run. He tuned his ears to listen behind him right now.
He heard something moving fast behind him and this only meant that Ino was running towards him. He was not sure what exactly made him think that she was going to do something stupid, but the thought dwelled in the back of his mind as he felt the weight of her land on his back. He started to go down and at the last second his body was replaced by a log. He had used a replacement just as soon as he felt her weight on his back.
He was up in the air and pulling out two of his kunai out of his hoister. He drew the two weapons to his chest and threw with his strengthen towards either side of Ino’s head. He was going to get the point across to her one way or another that she was out of her league when facing him. His face had a sour look to it as if he had just ate something that upset stomach.
