::Zabuza Momochi::
::CHARACTER OVERVIEW::
FACE CLAIM: Zabuza Momochi
AGE: 26
GENDER: Male
DATE OF BIRTH: August 15
RANK: Missing-Nin
VILLAGE: Former Hidden Mist
::CHARACTER APPEAREANCE::
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Physically speaking, Zabuza’s physique betrays his real strength and ability. He weighs approximately 160 lbs., which is not a very impressive weight for a full grown man. It also makes him look rather skinny, to the point that his ribs are capable of showing at times and his pants being a little loose. His height is a little more intimidating, coming in at about 6ft. tall. His height and weight together makes him look like a malnourished pencil. The simple thing is this; don’t ever think that of Zabuza.
While looking thin, Zabuza’s muscles are top notched. He is capable of wielding the Decapitating Carving Knife, a very large, heavy sword, with no problem or worry of fatigue. In fact, he can use it one-handed, with a little more effort. His taijutsu skills are impeccable, making him one very sturdy pencil. While his physique may make one calm, all it takes is one lift of that sword to set them right.
Of course, Zabuza doesn’t even need his sword to look fierce. Zabuza constantly has a scowl, and his darkened eyes are usually glaring at the opponent with a wild, ambitious look. His hair is also a rather wild mess; dark black in color, it is short but unkempt. Furthering his ‘demonic’ appearance are his teeth. While normally covered by bandages, he has had his teeth sharpened, giving him an animalistic appearance when needed.
CLOTHING DESCRIPTION:
When it comes to clothing styles, there are two main outfits that Zabuza wears. However, there are a few things that are constant. First off, he always has his mouth and neck covered in bandages. This is an intimidation technique for him; it forces the focus to his face, and more importantly his eyes. Furthermore, his headband is always worn on his head at a slight angle, with the tied part going over the side of his face. He always has a pair of leg and arm warmers, though the design will differ between outfits. Finally, of course, he will have his sword strapped to his back, one way or another.
The first outfit he wears is rather simple. He goes shirtless, with only his sword strap covering up anything on his torso. On his warmers is a camo pattern of brown and white splatches. His pants button up the front and are a light blue color with straps. The leg warmers have the same kind of camo pattern on them. Finally, he has his open-toed shoes.
His second outfit covers a little bit more. He wears a black, sleeveless shirt. The arm warmers follow the light blue striped pattern that his pants followed in his other outfit. His pants are the same dark black as his pants. The same goes for the leg warmers; they follow the pattern of the arm warmers. Finally, he also has his open toed shoes.
In summary, Zabuza’s clothing style is simple for maximum mobility and use. He doesn’t need fancy clothing anyway; after all, if he’s doing his job right he isn’t seen so what’s the point of a fancy outfit?
::CHARACTER DETAIL::
FAMILY AND FRIENDS:
Haku (Weapon and protege)
Demon Brothers (Minions)
PERSONALITY:
Zabuza has an ambition that is matched by few people. From a young age he was determined to become the Mizukage, and his entire life has been spent in that goal. Everything he does, every thought, every action is for the purpose of that goal. While he isn’t happy about having to resort to being a hired thug to raise the money for it, he does it anyway. Of course, he still completes every mission to the best of his abilities. Anyone who stands in his way, however, will soon find themselves dead for even trying. Zabuza will not let anything get in his way.
This mission-oriented mind set is also found in his relationship with others. As he grew as a shinobi, it was drilled into his mind that shinobi were merely tools to be used for the village. Now the head of his own band of missing-nin, Zabuza treats others like tools. As long as they prove themselves useful, Zabuza allows them to live. He is also rather blunt and rude towards them; after all, they were simple tools to be used for his will. There was no purpose in treating them kindly and with care. The world wouldn’t show that to them, so neither would he. If they fail or die, he usually doesn’t care what happens to them and is only upset about the loss of revenue failure brings for him.
There is one exception to this rule of treatment however; Haku. Zabuza adopted the boy off the streets, and while at first Zabuza considered him a tool, as time went on he had a different opinion of the boy. Now Haku is his most valuable tool…and his protégé. In fact, Zabuza has taught the boy everything he knows, and expects him to one day surpass him. While he still treats Haku like any other one of his ‘tools’, Zabuza sees the boy sort of like a son. Still, with his ambition at stake, he has no time for sentiments and so continues onwards.
In the midst of battle, Zabuza is a master of strategy and rather quick on the fly as well. He plans his operations ahead of time, and is always sure to have an escape plan. In the middle of a fight he is able to plan as well, though not as well and can be caught off guard. Once he sees an enemies jutsu once, however, he can create a counter to it. He is also highly skills in the Silent Homicide Technique, able to kill his enemy without even needing sight but going off of sound alone. Of course, he’s not afraid to use some taijutsu if needed.
HISTORY:
Born in the midst of the strife and conflict of the civil wars of the Land of Water. Yagura, a Kage whose encouragement of a bloodthirsty Academy Graduation ritual gave the village the nickname “The Bloody Mist”, ruled the Hidden Mist Village. It was no surprise then that after being born into the world, Zabuza was left alone in it. In the strife and conflict of the times, both of his parents were killed, leaving Zabuza just another orphan on the street. The only advantage he had was that he was in the village itself, which was at least safer than the outside world. Not much, but still safer.
For years Zabuza was forced to live on the streets, where he began to learn the skills that would be his signature as a shinobi. Fighting for food and shelter, he became a rather brutal child, willing to do what it took to survive. Eventually he had to be ambushed to be defeated, and so he began to practice listening out for these ambushes. Of course, this was all survival of the fittest amongst a bunch of street rats. Whenever Zabuza dealt with Academy students, he was beaten easily. This, of course, he found unacceptable, and so, without even being an official student, Zabuza began to train himself in the art of the shinobi. He picked fights with all the Academy students, who at first teased him and blew him off. Still, he waited patiently for a chance to prove himself.
While waiting, Zabuza began to plan out his ambitions. This world, this complete and utter piece of crap, could not be all there was. He knew of course of Yagura’s bloody rule of the village, and the rumors he was controlled by someone else. Zabuza vowed that someday he would take over the village, with whatever means possible. It was obvious that Yagura could not keep things under control, and Zabuza felt that he could do a better job. Before he could do that, however, he had to become a shinobi, and the upcoming graduation exams would prove a perfect chance. Besides, he could finally show those Academy students just who really was the greater shinobi material.
The day that Zabuza went to the Graduation Exam has gone down in history, and is a feat well known even outside of the Hidden Mist. There were a hundred students in that exam, forced to fight one on one to the death. By the time it was all over, every single last one of them was dead; Zabuza had killed them all. The graduation exam was declared finished; even Yagura couldn’t handle such bloodshed (or the loss of potential ninja). As for Zabuza, he was made an official shinobi; he was only 9. Of course, he was not put on his own team, and was constantly watched over to prevent him from going berserk again. Zabuza didn’t mind it at all, and gladly took it as a sign of pride. That, and his new nickname: Demon of the Hidden Mist.
Under the official guidance of actual shinobi, Zabuza’s skills skyrocketed. With ninjutsu skills under his belt, Zabuza soon became very skilled in the art of water jutsu. Eventually he was able to pull off the Water Dragon Bullet technique in a record of time considering it is one of the longest chain of handsigns of any jutsu. However, from his days as a scrapper in the streets, Zabuza had his greatest skills in the art of silent homicide. In fact, most of his kills in that graduation exam had been simply coming from behind and slitting the throat of the student. Combined with the Hidden Mist technique, he soon became a master of the silent kill.
It was in his teens that Zabuza was formally inducted into the ANBU of the Hidden Mist as recognition of his skills. By that point, however, Zabuza had a different goal in mind; the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. He had caught the eye of the holder of the Decapitating Carving Knife, who had obviously heard of his skill in the Silent Homicide Technique. As the sword was built for, well, decapitation, and he was getting on in years, the man offered to begin training Zabuza in the use of the sword. Soon enough, Zabuza was bringing the sword with him on ANBU missions, and with it became one of the top assassins in the Mist. He was in every other villages Bingo Book, and Zabuza was chosen to become one of the Seven Swordsmen.
However, in all this time Zabuza never forgot his goal; to become Kage. It was becoming obvious now that something needed to be done quickly, and so Zabuza began to plan a coup. Obviously he needed money, but as an ANBU that was easy. That just left supporters, and to a degree had a following. However, one day in the streets he met what would become his greatest tool; Haku. A rare survivor of the killings of kekkei genkai users, Zabuza took the kid off the streets and gave him a purpose. The kids kind, peaceful personality was annoying, but he quickly picked up the skills that Zabuza taught him. Eventually Zabuza saw the kid like a son, but the day of his coup was coming, so he had no time for such feelings.
Taking advantage of the chaos of the attack by the Kaguya clan, Zabuza attempted his coup. It failed, however, and he was forced to flee with his minions (the Demon Brothers and some minor shinobi) and Haku. He continued Haku’s training, seeing as the boy would become his greatest tool, and possibly surpass his own skills one day. They had to stay one step ahead of the hunter-nin, but that was no worry for the former Mist Shinobi. After all, he was the best stealth fighter.
Needing money for another coup, however, Zabuza and his gang resorted to being mercenaries. The most recent of these deals has been with Gato Corporation to hunt down some bridge builder and kill them. Zabuza personally hates the mans guts, but as he needs the money, took the job. He has also been involved in some small jobs on the side while waiting for news on this bridge builder’s location.
::JUTSU AND WEAPONS::
WEAPONS:
-Shuriken
-Kunai Knives
-Explosive Tags
Decapitating Carving Knife :: The sword is shaped like a giant butcher knife. It has a circle cut out of the top and the semicircle near the handle, which seems to fit the sword's purpose of decapitation aptly and gives something to wrap a back strap around. Its handle also appears to be detachable. While the handle is removed, it is relatively short. When reattached, however, it seems to extend by about four times its length.
KEKKAI GENKAI / CLAN JUTSU:
None
CHAKRA NATURE
JUTSU:
~ Hidden Mist Technique [Kirigakure no Jutsu] :: This jutsu envelops the surrounding area in a dense mist, reducing visibility within the affected area. The density can be controlled by the user, allowing them to create a mist so thick that even they can't see through it. Though it can't fool the Byakugan, against the Sharingan it is a most effective technique. Due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan-user will see the mist colored by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
~ Silent Homicide Technique [Sairento Kiringu] :: As the name suggests, this technique is simply a very quiet method of killing an opponent, usually from behind with a blade. Additionally, because the user is very silent, it cannot be defended against. The user will often slit their opponent's throat, preventing any cry that might give them away. Zabuza was a master of this technique, and was even good enough to track and kill opponents through sound alone.
~ Water Clone Technique [Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu] :: The Water Clone Technique is similar to the Shadow Clone Technique except it creates clones out of water. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body. Additionally, water clones only have one-tenth of the original person's power, as stated by Haku. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.
~ Water Prison Technique [Suiro no Jutsu] :: This jutsu is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. Clones can be used in place of the actual person, provided that the clone is the one that performed the technique. This jutsu can't be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it. Neji Hyūga has been able to use his ability to release chakra from all of his pressure points simultaneously to disrupt the flow of chakra inside the prison and break free.
Despite the fact that the prison is made up entirely out of water, it is stronger than steel as stated by Zabuza Momochi. Once trapped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Even so, the target is still able to speak. When this technique is used on Tenten, she indicates that she cannot breathe, though other characters have not reported the same problem.
~ Great Waterfall Technique [Daibakufu no Jutsu] :: Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique is a technique that forms a strong column of water to attack an opponent. Due to the force of the water, the target will be fully enveloped and at the mercy of the current as they are pulled away.
~ Water Dragon Bullet Technique [Suiryudan no Jutsu] :: Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique takes the form of a giant, powerful dragon, created out of water. This jutsu needs forty-four hand seals, the highest amount of hand seals necessary to use a jutsu shown in the series so far. However, Tobirama Senju was able to produce one with only one hand seal. Another drawback to the technique is that it requires the user to be near a large body of water to complete the technique.

RP SAMPLE:
It was night time. In the distance the flames of burning buildings were growing larger, and the sounds of battle were raging. Zabuza smirked underneath his bandages; the Kaguya did go through with their plan to attack the village after all. Bunch of battle-crazed, bloodlusting morons, that was what they were. Of course, as the Demon of the Hidden Mist he didn’t have much room to criticize, did he. Besides, he was about to partake in a similar act….if he failed that was If he succeeded, well, he would be the Kage and make the rules. And if he had anything to do with it, he was going to succeed.
Right now his forces were overlooking the village from a hillside. From there they could watch the events of the Kaguya attack and all the surrounding drama. They would draw most of the villages forces to them in their ‘blaze of glory’ death. That would be the moment for him to strike and infiltrate the Kage’s tower. His forces were small, but small teams worked best; that was the basic lesson that he was taught and followed. Of course, his forces were handpicked and trained by him. The Demon Brothers were excellent at using poison, though the fact that they had to be together to be effective was a draw back. There were some other minor shinobi, but the only one that really mattered was the one he trained himself; Haku.
”Haku, you are to stay close by to me as we infiltrate the tower. Your job will be to eliminate any guards that I miss, and to dispose of the bodies afterward to hide our tracks. Do. Not. Fail.” He gruffly said, with the boy replying with his usual politeness. The kid was rather feminine and polite, but Zabuza knew deep down he could kill.
Glancing over at the flames, Zabuza could easily see that Mist Village ANBU were being sent to the scene. Now as the time to strike. All of his dreams, all of his ambitions were about to come true. He would find and kill Yagura, and bring that bastard’s bloody rule to an end. These revolts by clans like the Kaguya would be a thing of the past, and he would be the one with absolute power over the village. The plan was set, and now was the time to strike.
”Men, move out. Aim for the tower, and eliminate all who get in your way. Remember, the Mizukage is mine. Now then, let’s begin.”
Unstrapping his sword, Zabuza moved out from his position, jumping straight onto the rooftops below. With all the silence he had trained in his ANBU years, he approached the tower. Two guards were on patrol, but within seconds, without hearing it, they weren’t. He would have to remember to give them a proper funeral once this was all over with; after all, they were just doing their jobs. Of course, it all depended on whether not wild animals ran off with their heads afterward. With a bloodied sword and an ambitious soul, Zabuza pressed forward. It was time for the Demon to meet with a monster.
