It was a cool morning with the wind blowing in all sorts of directions, however, that did not stop one lad to be onto of a building with a book in his hand reading. It was still early and he knew his mother had not gotten out of bed yet, but in a few minutes he would place the book down and go and fix her breakfast like he did every morning before he headed out to train or get a mission. Satoshi turned another page in the book and replaced his arm under his head. He was laying down on the building for now with the book being held with his other hand. His black eyes traveled from one side of the page to another.
Before he could finish the next page he heard something coming from below. He heard his name coming from somewhere, but it was not from his mother’s voice. He placed the book down to his right and pushed himself up and stood up and moved to the edge of the building room. He looked down and saw his neighbor waving at him. He smiled and waved back. ”Morning, Ren-sama! What can I do for you today?” He placed his hands down in his pockets.
”I was wondering if you could do some errands for me later today, before you get home.”
Satoshi paused to consider this, he knew his neighbor had done a lot for him and his mother since his father was killed, so who was he too refused this chance to repay him for everything? Satoshi nodded his head. ”Of course I will do it Ren-sama, all you have to ever do is ask. You been kind to my mother and me, I would never turn down one of yours requests. I will come by before I leave to get the information.” After watching the older man nod and return back inside, Satoshi sat back down and opened up his book once more.
It was not long before Satoshi was back up and heading back inside to make breakfast. Nearly an hour went by as he made breakfast for his mother and himself before he saw her out of bed. He smiled slightly and pulled out her chair for her to sit down. ”Mother, I will be home a bit late tonight. I told Ren-sama that I would run a few errands before heading home for him. I need to meet Maiko-chan for some training today. Just take it easy today.” Once she was seated he took his seat and started to eat as he read the book in front of him. After finishing his breakfast, doing the dishes he had used, and making sure his mother was settled for the day Satoshi finally headed out the door. He grabbed his scrolls and slipped them in his pouch and made sure he had his glasses cleaning cloth and out he went.
Satoshi made a stop by to see Ren and got a list and some money to run the errands. Once he was done with that he slowly made his way out to the oases that the team normally trained out. They trained there because it was out of view of the village and it had it’s own water source so they could practice walking on the water and use it for water when they was thirsty. It didn’t take him long to reach the oases and look around to see if by chance Maiko had beat him there for once. He sighed slightly when he realize he once again was early for something.
He slowly made his way over to the water and sat down besides the water. He leaned over and glanced at his reflection. He did like working around Maiko, but it was the fact that he never knew what to say to her that was not mission or training related. What made it worse for him was that he knew he had a crush on her and was not even sure if she had one on him. He knew his other friends around his age were already boosting about have a girlfriend, but he did not want to be someone like that. Besides he was constantly taking care of his ill mother and that was something that he did not mind doing at all. He loved his mother after all.
He slowly smirked to himself. ”Today, is going to be the day where I will have a full conversation with Maiko-chan without losing my voice….err….who am I kidding…its been three years and I have yet talked much around her at all….but she always so…hyper…and jumping on me all the time….so weird….” Satoshi found himself talking to himself simple because he found it relaxing when he was younger and was the only way he could talk himself into things.
He slowly moved away from the water and laid down against the sand and looking up at the clouds. He moved his hands behind his head and yawned slightly. He could not remember when he told Maiko that he would meet her here, so he knew it could take awhile for her to come at all. He did not mind laying out in the sun all day, it gave him an excuse to being lazy. He closed his eyes slightly and realized that he had also grabbed his book off the table to read in case this would happen. ”Hmmm, I am nearly done with it…I could finish it tonight before bed, which means I don’t have to dig around for another book to read when I get home.” Even on missions he was not seen without a book. It was a way he hide himself when around his teammates when he did not know what to do or say. ”Some leader I am…hiding behind a book…instead of talking with my team….how did I made Chuunin last year?” It was more of a question to himself that he did not know how to answer. []For Maiko, when Whams gets her done. Name can be changed[]

There was a nice breeze in the village today, causing Maiko’s skirt to flutter in the wind a little bit. She thought it was a nice touch; that’s why she used it after all. The morning was rather nice as well, and Maiko had been up for quite a bit of time to enjoy it. She had already eaten breakfast and was now just outside enjoying the view. Even after all these years she didn’t tire of this village. Sure, the sun could be annoying every now and then, and the dryness of the air could be an absolute nightmare for the skin, but it was her village; she wouldn’t have it any other way. Well, maybe some grass outside of the greenhouses and occasional oasis might be nice, but other than that nothing.
Looking down at the ground, she used the shadow as a makeshift sundial, and tried to guess what Satoshi was doing right now. Most likely he had his nose stuck in a book somewhere; he was always reading. It was his personal little wall he used to hide from the world sometimes. Of course, if they were a wall, she was a catapult ready to tear it down. Maiko lost count how many times she would simply sneak up behind Satoshi and snatch the book from him, or his glasses, or something just to get his mind off of it. He was such an introvert, and Maiko didn’t like that much. Sure, she had moments of wanting to be alone, but Satoshi was just so awkward about it; someone needed to break him out of his shell. And so she Sekitei Maiko took it upon herself to do so, whether Satoshi wanted her to or not.
Laying back against the wall of her home, Maiko was about to rest when all of a sudden her grandfather called out.
”Maiko, don’t you have training with Watamura-san today?”
”Yeah, I know, I was just about to head out.” she lied, having completely forgot about it.
Pushing herself off against the wall, Maiko began to take a walk towards the village exit. Her team used some of the oases outside of the village as training spots. Mostly it was because it was away from the village and had water; a rare mixture out in the deserts. Satoshi was probably already there; he was always early for everything. Or was it that she was just late to everything? Either way, he was there, she was sure of that. Because he enjoyed his books oh so much, and she wanted him to get comfortable before being surprised, Maiko wasn’t in much of a rush to get to the oases. Instead she stopped at stall real quick and bought some sweets to munch on during the walk. She admittedly had a bit of a sweet tooth, though she had been good on keeping the intake low. Still, she would indulge every once in awhile, but always quick to hide the evidence before anyone she knew saw.
In this case, she was done before reaching the gates, and she disposed of the garbage by throwing it into an outside roast when the owner wasn’t looking. They must have been getting ready for a big dinner or something; they would like the extra flames right? Either way, she was out of the village before anyone knew she was there so it didn’t matter. With that done, she rushed off towards the oasis that had been appointed for that day of training. Satoshi had to be nice and comfortable now, right?
Well, he was at least talking to himself, though Maiko didn’t know what he was saying till she was close enough. All she heard was something about his books. Smiling, she saw that he was looking up at the clouds and laying down. So no glomping him today. Instead she was just going to have to quickly bend down right into his face before he had a chance to relax. Quietly she approached him, and she crouched down just in time for him to ask “how did I make Chuunin last year?” She had such perfect timing, didn’t she? Now that she was crouching, all she had to do was lean forward into his line of sight and answer for him.
”Cause your such a wonderful shinobi Satoshi-kun!” [/b][/color] she said, grinning at him. Seeing as his glasses were closer than the book, she quickly snatched the glasses off of him before leaning away and sitting down. ”Though I do think you really need to read a bit less. Come on, I won’t bite if you try and talk to me.”[/b][/color] she added, playfully smiling as she taunted him with his own glasses. Always a great start to the day.[/size][/blockquote]

Satoshi smiled slightly when he thought about Maiko coming up to the training area. She had always tackled him and gave him a hug and it made Satoshi feel happy and excited to be around her. Sure he didn’t know what cause her to always hug him and pick on him, but it was something that he really didn’t mind. He had once told his mother about it and she claimed that it was because the girl liked him and didn’t know how to show it. He had pushed that off as something stupid that his mother said, but in recent months he was started to wonder about what his mother said to him more and more.
He was off in his little world at the moment and did not notice that someone was approaching him. It also didn’t help that he already had his eyes close when they came up. He had spoke a loud about making Chuunin and he was no expecting someone to answer him back at all, but then a voice came and telling him that it was because he was wonderful shinobi. He didn’t think so, he felt that he was just below average for the most part and didn’t understand it all. He felt both of his teammates were better since they had more experience in the field than he did.
Since he was in deep thought at the time of the comment; Satoshi mind had to play catch up with itself and when he finally realized who had spoken to him he slightly blushed for the comment given to him. Maiko had arrived to hear himself ask a question to himself. It felt a bit off, but he was always feeling that way around her. ”….M…..M…Maik….o-chan…” he said stumbling even over her own name.
”Damnit…how can she praise someone like me…who can’t even say her name without stumbling like that…” This made him felt worse for the most part about the situation that he had just placed himself in. He slowly opened his eyes to find her crouching down over him. He tried to smile up at her, but it came out as a smile that someone would have gave to an unwelcome stranger. He always looked like this when she was around though.
He went to sit up before she could say anything else, but felt something touched the side of his face in a fast motion. His eyes saw clear one second and then out of nowhere everything became fuzzy. He titled his eyes towards the water and could not even make out the bank of the pond. Once again he was caught off guard around Maiko and she had stolen his glasses from him. He finished sitting up and tilted his head towards her general location. He was able to see a large blur of shading over there at least. That was a start for him to focus on.
More of a blush came over his cheeks when she told him that he read too much and for him to try and talk to her. He reached out with his left hand and waved his fingers for his glasses. ”….G……gla….” he paused and grinned slightly and turned his head towards the sand. He could not even get the word glasses out right. He didn’t understand on missions he could speak clearly to the squad, but place him out public like this he was unable to talk to her like a normal person. He didn’t like himself when he got this way, but didn’t know how to come over it either.
”….p…..please….y….glas……sess…” He hoped she would not hold his glasses for long. He usually got a headache due to not wearing them for long period and he been known to throw up because of it. He had done it several times before during missions when his glasses had gotten broken due to his carelessness.

It apparently took a moment before Satoshi even recognized that it was her voice that had answered his question. So Maiko just sat there looking over him till he began to try and stumble out her name. He was always incapable of speaking in complete sentences like that around her. She had asked her grandparents about it, and her grandmother had mentioned it was usually a sign that the boy liked her. On the flip side, her grandfather thought it was a sign the guy had some kind of mental and/or physical issue that prevented it. Considering that Satoshi spoke perfectly fine on missions, however, Maiko followed her grandmother’s theory.
However, even if Satoshi had a crush on her, Maiko wasn’t acting just yet to reciprocate it; she wanted him to say it to her, not her just assume so and act on it. First off, she knew the local gossip scene well enough to understand that people mistook signs for one thing as a sign of a crush or flirt; she wasn’t going to get caught in that. Second, of course, was the motherly side kicking in; Maiko simply wanted to see Satoshi make some progress in being able to communicate. Obviously he had some serious issues with that, and she’d just make it worse by springing a “I have a crush on you” on him. So instead, she was going to draw it out of him, or if there wasn’t on, a denial on his part. Once she got an answer, well, she’ll plan from there. For now, it was glasses-stealing time.
”Good morning Satoshi-kun” Maiko smiled as she took his glasses. She let out a small giggle as Satoshi moved around trying to find her location. This time she was nice and didn’t move; she just waited till he was looking in her general direction
The blushing on his cheeks was obvious, and Maiko gave a bit of a grin. It didn’t help when his hand was waving around trying to get his glasses. He started saying something, but then stopped and turned his head towards the sand. How disappointing; he couldn’t even look and speak at to her while basically blind. If that wasn’t a sign that he needed help, she didn’t know what else could be. Still, at least he eventually got out an entire sentence, if a bit choppy and broken up. Maiko was tempted to hold the glasses back from him till he said it clearly, but she wouldn’t. Satoshi got rather sick if he didn’t have his glasses, and she didn’t want to ruin anyone’s morning by having him throw up.
”Well, at least you had some complete words this time. I guess I can give your glasses for that.”
Of course, she had to do it her own way. Gently pressing his hand down, Maiko took his glasses in both hands and leaned forward a bit. He was probably still having such blurry vision he couldn’t see what she was doing, but to be safe she told him to close his eyes. Once that was done, she scooted as close as she possibly could without touching him, leaned forward, and place his glasses on his face. Having some second thoughts on it though, she decided to be a little nice and scooted back some. Then a better idea hit her. Getting up, she quietly sneaked behind him before talking to him.
”Okay then, it’s safe to open your eyes now. Your glasses are safe and sound.”
When he opened his eyes, she wouldn’t be in his site. In his subsequent confusion, Maiko was going to give him a nice, quick hug around the neck before backing off of him for a little bit. If she got him too worked up during the initial meeting, then he couldn’t concentrate all day. She really wanted to get some actual training done; she had been reading up on some wind techniques she wanted to work on and wanted his help. Still, it was customary to give him a hug; it wasn’t a training session without her hugging him, usually from behind. [/blockquote]

Satoshi was thankful that Maiko didn’t tease him about his stumbling when she was around. He knew he had the problem with just about any girl he came in contact with, but with her it like tripled on him slightly. Could it be because he had a crush on her? He had never asked his mother about this because he didn’t want her to worry too much about other things in his life. He worried about her health more than he worried about telling her everything that was going on in his life. However, he was sure that she heard things that he didn’t tell her because she always found ways to sneak something in on him during dinner or something.
He held back a blush this time when she told him good morning. He liked hearing her voice and felt bad slightly for not noticing it was her sooner. He allowed his brain to get carried away and excited by the fact that a voice had answered his own question to himself. ”Er…maybe Maiko…right…I read way too much…thinking that someone is answering me…like that and trying to come up with a reasonable answer….”
He took a deep breath before opening his lips to say something to her. ”…..M…orning,....Mai…….ko….chan.” He counted the times he stumbled over her name this time. Three times and he had gotten the first three letters together this time! It was one of his personal best when talking to her like this. He could not help, but to feel a little bit better about the position at the moment. He knew she would see something in this as well. She always seemed to be watching over for him no matter what.
When he was trying to ask for his glasses back and had to turn his head from her it made him feel worse. He took another deep breath and then finished what he was trying to say to her. When she said that she would give them too because he had manage to at least get his point across to her it made him smile slightly. He knew she only did it to him to pick on him and he didn’t really mind at the moment. There was no one else around and she only did it when they were alone or with the team. He had been getting picked on since he joined the team, but he felt lucky to be on this time. He had kids his own age and a cute girl that gave him attention even when he didn’t deserve it for the most part.
It was telling her how he felt was the problem. He had practiced it in the mirror from time to time and even imagined asking her out, but it always ended badly inside of his head when he started to rationalizing everything. ”…I wonder if there is a way to turn my brain off when I am around her…”
He blinked slightly when she told him to close his eyes, but he did exactly that. He trusted the girl in front of him with his life and knew she would never let anything happen to him on purpose. He listened for her to come near him, but she was silent like always. He took in a deep breath and smelt the sweet scent coming from her though. He knew she was close, but there was no way that he had the nerves to even try and reach out for her. He felt her place the glasses on his face and he smiled some. ”…..this….is…a first….she…never placed them back on me…” He tried not to blush, but it was too late. His cheeks turned even redder then they had been before.
Then she spoke again, he could tell that she was not in front of him now. Too him that was a given because he had to learn at an early age to listen to sounds more closely when he didn’t have his glasses with him. His guess was that she was behind him waiting to glomp him from behind into a hug. It was something she always did and he didn’t mind. It allowed him to be close to her without actually saying some along the lines of “I have a crush on you….” It prevented him from stumbling over his own words to her.
He smiled slightly and opened his eyes. He turned his head slightly when he didn’t see her in front of him. He wanted to give her the illusion that he had actually missed the location of her voice. When he had searched for her before he had at least the blurred version of her and he didn’t like seeing that one at all. ”…Where…..did….o….go?” He grinned when he nearly got the whole sentence out, but didn’t manage to get the you out in it.

After telling him a good morning, Satoshi was able to get out her name with some effort. That was making some progress at least. Even had three letters together. Apparently ‘therapy’ was working on him to some degree. She would have congratulated him if it wasn’t for the fact she was too busy trying to steal his glasses at the same time. Once she sat back and he was trying to get his glasses though, she decided to make a small comment on the improvement.
”Almost had it there Satoshi-kun. Just two more letters and you would have had my full name said.” she teased as he stumbled around for his glasses.
Once he asked for his glasses back, Maiko started to give them back. There was a slight smile on Satoshi’s face; that was just fuel for the fire really. As long as Satoshi didn’t mind being picked on like this she would keep pressing it. Besides, he was making more coherent statements now; they were so close to actual progress. If she stopped now they would be set back. Also, Satoshi seemed to like the teasing; he was always smiling afterwards, and people usually didn’t blush when something bad was happening right? It was the perfect combination for her really; a person who was easy to tease and liked to be teased.
He was also so very trusting; when she told him to close his eyes, he closed his eyes without hesitating. Placing them on his face again, Maiko saw him blushing again. He was really bad about that; it was too adorable for her to resist though. It was just so much fun to get him flustered up that she had to do it. Sadly, she had a joke to pull, so she couldn’t stare at his blushing for long. Getting up, she tried her best to move around quietly. There was a pretty good chance that when she spoke he knew where she was from; after all, they were shinobi. It didn’t matter though; Maiko knew well enough by now he played along with the jokes.
Once she let him know it was safe, she waited for his reaction. He almost got out a full sentence out in the process! Yeah, that was a good excuse to give him a hug, though she was going to let him know that he was lying about not knowing where she was. Still, a full sentence was some good progress. Leaning forward, she placed her arms around his neck in a hug and set her head on his shoulder, tilted a little bit towards him so she could get a look at his reaction; that was what made it all worthwhile.
”Right behind you Satoshi-kun, but you knew that already didn’t you? Don’t try lying to me; I know you’ve got pretty good hearing. Ah well, let’s just say the hug is for getting a full sentence out of you.”
Sitting like that for a second, Maiko soon backed off and walked over to the side of the bank. She was getting a little flustered herself, with her cheeks being a little bit red. At least she could blame it on the heat, so she decided to get herself some water to drink to ‘cool down’. Bending over, she scooped some water into her hand and took a quick drink before turning around to face Satoshi again. There was a good chance he was all flustered up now to the daily level Maiko wanted to make him, so it was time to get to some actual work to let him get a chance to calm down some. He always did better with training than just small talk after all.
”So then Satoshi-kun, did you have anything planned today for training? I was hoping to start work on another wind jutsu that I had read up on. It’s supposed to allow you ‘cut the air’ so to speak, but with a more accurate, blade-like quality than what I do with my fans. Even better, I don’t need fans to do it, so I’ll be useful even without them.” she said, a little more serious sounding than she had been during the hugs and teasing, but still rather cheery. Even she got serious for training after all, and she did want to work on this jutsu. Satoshi had wind chakra like she did, so he was an excellent partner for helping with wind jutsu. Still, he might have had something of his own planned, and she tended to take over the training sessions whenever she was out there, so maybe it would be a good idea to see what he wanted to do instead.
”Or did you have something else in mind? I’m flexible enough to do whatever.” [/blockquote]

Satoshi decided to let it go and allow her to comment about his sentences getting better. He had notice it as well since he been around the team more and more every day, but it was nothing he was going to get too worked over about. To him he felt that he was still not coming along that well with his words around the opposite gender. The only other girl that he had really spoken too was his mother and most of the time she babied him just like Maiko did on something. He didn’t mind at all really.
When Maiko threw her arms around his neck and placed her chin on his shoulder; Satoshi found himself holding back another blush. This time he was digging his fingernail into his leg to keep from blushing. Instead tilted his head for and to the side so he could try and get a look at her face when she called him out knowing where she was. He shrugged slightly, but nodded. ”I …..knew…..b…..yo….ur….voi….ce.” He didn’t move at all when she had her arms around him. He never really tried to fight her hugging him like this simple because he knew it was a part of how she started her day with him. It was never the same if he didn’t get his hug from Maiko.
After she got off him and moved over to the water to get a drink, Satoshi stood up and pushed his glasses up on his nose and looked around some. He leaned down and picked up his pouch that he had thrown down some time before she got there and placed it back on his hip. He looked up when she started to talk about the jutsu that she wanted to test out. It was of course another wind jutsu since both of their main chakra alignments was with the wind nature. He never did mind her running the training sessions they did because it allowed him to work on his own wind jutsu.
He titled his head slightly when she said that it would cut through the air. It sounded familiar to him, but he could not recall it for the most part. He was about to nod in agreement when she turned back to him and asked him what he wanted to do or if he had something in mind for them to do. He bit his lip slightly and looked at the standing water next to them.
He had been reading up on how to force his chakra to turn into the second alignment and had managed successfully to turn his wind alignment into water when forcing his chakra into the chakra paper that their sensei had given them a few years back. However, he had not brought this up to anyone else before mainly because he would have rather more basic knowledge of water jutsu and how to create them. She was asking for his opinion for training, which meant that if he didn’t say something about it and she picked up on it she would chew him out later for not telling her about it. He barely had secrets of his own when around Maiko and he was not sure if that was a good thing or not yet. At least she didn’t know about the crush he held for her.
Satoshi reached into the pouch that he just placed back in his hip and walked over to the water. He was nearly on the other side of the water than what she was, but he bent down and pulled out a book. There were small piece of paper sticking out of the book as if someone had been taking notes or something. It was a common thing for Satoshi to do with a book explaining how to do something or interested him in a matter. He placed the book down on the sand and flipped through the pages as he rested his hand on his knee and then his head on the back of his hand. His left leg he had going behind his right on and was sitting on the back of his leg some.
He came to a page in the book that had pencil marks all up and down the margins of the page and he tilted his head to look at what it said slightly. He reached into his pouch again and pulled out his pencil and erased something from the side. It was his book because he knew his habit about writing in books so he always made sure to buy the copy of the book if it interested him.
His eyes were firmly onto the book at the moment and not looking at Maiko. ”…I…I been reading up on how to channel a second elemental alignment with chakra. Took five months for me to channel….the Suiton alignment using the chakra paper, but I can at least create the water alignment into the paper now.” Since his mind was racing with the facts of what he been up to when not on missions, reading, or being around Maiko he was able to talk normally around her. It was also because he was serious about the water chakra as well. He was able when focus on something other knowing he was talking to a girl, especially Maiko, to actually talk normal for once. He tapped his index finger of his left hand against the page. ”The water clone here can be something of interest for defense and offense.” He had already decided that he wanted to learn that to go up against a normal clone and it would catch people off guard seeing how they were taijutsu, weapon, and wind jutsu specialist in their group.
Satoshi failed to look up towards Maiko after he was done talking about what he had been reading up on. It had finally hit him that it was Maiko that was listening to him instead of someone else. ”Damn…why do I draw a blank when I am done…talking out loud about an idea I have for a mission or something…damnit…she thinks I am idiot…now…”

Hmm, he was actually looking at her face when talking this time. That was even more progress! Yep, today was turning out to be a rather good day for messing with Satoshi, even if his sentences were still broken. Better than nothing really. Still, she was a little disappointed she didn’t sneak up on him like she wanted, but he had a point. If she hadn’t said anything she probably would have been able to do something, but then he wouldn’t have opened her eyes. This wasn’t that great of a trick; she was going to drop it and never do it again. Maiko was sure she would think of another one to do sometime later on.
”Oh, you did…oh well, it was worth a shot.” she replied for letting him go and moving to get her water.
As she drank, she watched as Satoshi packed up his pouch. After that she mentioned her jutsu, and watched as he tilted his head slightly in confusion, or at least not recognizing it. In fact, Maiko couldn’t remember the name either, but was sure it would come to her. She knew what she needed to work on anyway. Still, it was rather cute to see him tilt his head like that; almost like a cat or a dog. Maiko smiled a little bit and resisted giggling about it before moving on to see what it was that he wanted to do. He bit his lip, which she took as a sign of hesitance. Maiko hid her annoyance at him not standing up for himself, but gave him time to act upon it.
Soon he was actually moving, reaching for his pouch and heading over to the water. Maiko began to follow him, watching as he pulled out (of course) a book of some sort. What, was he wanting to read something? Did he plan on beating out the enemy ninja with poetry? Hmm, that would be a funny sight, but not really an effective plan. Or there might be a new jutsu in it; that would be a wonderful thing. And if it was a wind jutsu, maybe they could learn it together! Excited, Maiko made her way next to Satoshi as he sat down to flip through his book. Pressing her head against her knees, she rested a little bit and just watched him flip pages.
Eventually he landed on a page with a lot of pencil marks on it. Maiko leaned closer a little bit to see what the book was on, but before she got a good look at what it was Satoshi began to talk, and this time without broken sentences. He was fully incapable of talking to her in a normal conversation, but you give him a mission or training and he could recite a speech for you. She listened as he talked about a second elemental alignment. That was some pretty heavy stuff; usually only Jounin could pull that off. And he wondered why he had been made a Chuunin; if he could handle this, that was proof enough he was ready to be a Chuunin. Though this second element of his, Suiton, was kind of odd. They lived in a desert; where was he going to get the water for the jutsu? She knew some could make water if needed, but it ate up a lot of chakra to do so.
Before she could mention this, however, Satoshi said he wanted to try and make a water clone. Yes, a clone would be a good thing to start with, but other than the oases water, what was he going to use as material? If they were outside of the desert should could see why, but here in Wind Country? Eh, that was going to be difficult to learn. She was sure that Satoshi could do it, and if he mastered water jutsu, well, everyone in Suna would be surprised. No one would expect a mastery of water jutsu from a person in Hidden Sand after all. That was the Mist Villages area of expertise.
Of course Satoshi soon stopped talking, and Maiko waited for him to continue…he didn’t. Instead he just sat there looking at his book, apparently forgetting that she was sitting there. Ah well, it was best that she try and jumpstart the situation some. Getting her head off her knees, she leaned up against Satoshi, and then pressed a finger on the page.
”So you want to try and learn water jutsu? That might be a little hard since there’s more of an ocean of sand than an ocean of water here. But you should be fine. Is there anything I can do to help? I don’t know that much about water compared to wind, but I’d be willing to give it a shot.” [/blockquote]

Satoshi new that he had slightly disappointed Maiko and knew that she would sneak up on him later that day, probably before they said their goodbyes for the night and make plans to meet back here tomorrow if they didn’t get assign a mission or something. He smiled slightly at the thought of getting another hug from her today. He just wished that he could find his voice around her when not talking about a mission or jutsu or something along the lines. For now he push it out of his mind and deal with other things like what they was going to work on today for training.
He felt her come closer to him when he was talking about the water alignment. He blinked when she did not comment about how he shut up and just continued to speak her mind about what he was planning on doing. He smiled and stared at a word in his book, because she encourage him to do what he wanted to do and was willing to help him do it. He just didn’t see how she was going to help in this manner just yet. To him there was still information that he needed to figure out and that was just the beginning of everything for him.
Satoshi looked up to the water for a moment and stared at it. He knew their sensei Reinja would smack him if he was stupid enough to try something like this without gathering the information for it. Perhaps he should ask around before attempting this, so he could see if there was anyone in Suna with the water alignment. He knew it was going to take him a while to even try and perform it, so there was no need to drag Maiko into it. He had voice what he had been working on, so he felt good about that. He tapped the side of the book before removing his hand and flipping it close again. He picked up the book and placed it back into his pouch.
He looked over his shoulder at her and shrugged some. ”…..I..can’t see much….th….that….yo….u could help….with..Mai…..ko..-chan. Just….me…ram….. bling…so…r….ry…” Satoshi sighed slightly when he heard it come out. He had at least stringed some words together. He was not sure what he was going to do and work on the jutsu just yet. He was not even sure why he had brought it up to her about it.
He slowly reached his hand back into his bag and pulled out his summoning scroll he carried to summon his weapons. He had picked up on it thanks to their sensei when she forced him into one on one training because he was assigned to the team a year later. He looked up at Maiko and smiled slightly before opening the scroll up some and searching for the symbol for the summons of his weapons. Once he got to it placed his hand on the seal and force some chakra in it. Seconds later he was holding his Kusarigama in his hand and the scroll he gentle rolled back up and placed back in the pouch. Right now there was no need to be in a haste to summoning them and throwing the scroll down. He did hate to fletch the scroll once a battle was over with.
The chain of the Kusarigama wrapped around his outreach foot. He looked back over his shoulder at her and finally realized that she was leaning on him. He tried not to blush by the close contact seeing how it was nothing new to him, but it didn’t help the matter. He reached up and took his glasses off and wiped his eyes with his wrist. “Got…..sand….in…m……eyes.” He went to stand up slowly so he didn’t knock her down, but when he went to push up his heel got caught on the chain of the kursarigama and he dropped the weapons to the ground as he stumbled backwards since he didn’t have his balance on his other leg.
When he started to stumble backwards he twisted to grab onto Maiko, so he would not hurt her. However, at this time he was blind and only saw blur. His hand holding his glasses hit his leg and he dropped the glasses to the ground. He went to fumble for the glasses only in the process of throwing his weight onto Maiko. The next thing he knew he was laying on top of her. His left hand was in the dirt at her shoulder and his right arm was laying in sand at the side of her head. His cheeks by now were as red as a lobster.

Satoshi was remaining rather quiet as she leaned up against him. He just focused completely on his book or staring at the water. The sad thing was Maiko was rather used to it; hence her teasing. Whenever he was thrown into an embarrassing situation he tried to escape it or just focus on something else. His shyness was adorable, but could be a little annoying. On the bright side, at least he was so used to her messing with him by this point she could hang on him like this and not get yelled at or have him run off. Besides, they were discussing something in the book; though having him speak a little more would be nice.
Eventually Satoshi closed the book before looking at her, saying that she really couldn’t help him that much and he was just rambling. She was a little disappointed he was saying that; she did want to help him after all. But he had a point; she didn’t know anything about water jutsu at all. Heck, she didn’t even use clones, so combining water with clone and, well, there wasn’t much she could do. She was the wind-jutsu expert, and apparently that was all she was going to be stuck with for now. As for the rambling, well, she really couldn’t call what he did ‘rambling’. She had asked him to say what he wanted to.
”Don’t worry about it Satoshi, I wanted to know what you’re up to. And even if I can’t help, can I at least wish you luck in learning it?” She asked, giving him a bit of a smile in hopes of raising his confidence some. He deserved it at least; he got out two full, if slowly said, sentences, and he even used –chan after her name. If he just started to string his words as, well, words, her mission would be complete.
Seeing as he was getting his summoning scroll out, Maiko moved just a little bit to allow him to get his things out easier. She was still hanging onto him a little, but not as hard. Her weapons were small enough she really didn’t need to worry about using a scroll for them, which was handy. Still, it was a rather neat ability, to be able to summon something from far away with just a little chakra. If she had any use for it she would have liked to learn it herself, but for the moment she couldn’t think of something too summon. Having an animal summon would be neat as well, but it was kind of hard to track down something to have a summoning contract with. What animal would she use anyway?
Maiko was snapped out of her thoughts as Satoshi moved again to put his stuff away. Satoshi was looking up at her, and apparently had just realized she was leaning on him as he was blushing and ‘had sand in his eyes.’ Maiko just smiled at the lame excuse, but acted as if she believed him. Seeing as he was starting to get up, Maiko started to do so as well, but noticed that his foot was caught in the chain of his weapon. Before she could get a word out of warning, Satoshi was stumbling all over the place…towards her. She tried to brace him, but his movements predated hers as he tried to grab her as well. Not really sure what happened next, all Maiko knew was that she was on the ground and Satoshi was on top of her, as red as a lobster, his hands off right next to her.
For once Maiko was starting to feel like Satoshi did all the time. Her usual light-hearted demeanor was being replaced by embarrassment, and while not as red as Satoshi was, her face was getting there. If someone walked over to them right now, they would probably be getting the wrong idea right now. Right now, though, a good idea might be to get a sense of where her limbs were right now. Her right arm was the one that was trying to prop up Satoshi, and apparently it was sprawled out behind her. As for her left arm, it was off to her side. Bringing her right arm just a little bit closer to her, Maiko started to try and think of something she could say to get a joke out of this. She really could get something good out of this moment, and finally her thought hit on something that might just get Satoshi to admit something…and her doing so indirectly.
”Sa-Satoshi-kun, I didn’t think you could be so bold. If you wanted to do this y-you just had to ask.”
Maiko really had trouble keeping a straight face during that statement. Between her own embarrassment and stammering, and just how risqué the statement was, it was hard to make it actually sound serious. For a moment Maiko was worried that Satoshi would have a heart attack over that statement. Thinking it over, she realized it might be a good idea to let Satoshi know that it was a joke so he didn’t die from it. That was going too far, or at least just a little bit.
”T-that was a joke Satoshi, just so you know.” she added, though admittedly the tone she had saying it made it sound a little half-hearted. Oh, now she knew how Satoshi felt all the time, though at least she had full words. Maiko hoped just a little bit that he’d see through the implied ‘consent’, so to speak, in it. Though knowing Satoshi, the near-death experience from the heart attack he was sure to have from this might distract him. Speaking of that…
Seeing as she was still underneath him, Maiko gently pushed him a little and started to try and slide out from underneath him. As she did, however, her arm nudged into Satoshi’s arm that was propping him up. It slid from underneath, finishing his fall as he landed just barely in front of her face. Maiko really couldn’t see anything other than his face, and by this point her blush had matched his. Giving him a bit of a weak smile, once again she tried a joke.
”I-I think, I think I made it worse. Sorry Satoshi-kun.”

Satoshi smiled just slightly when Maiko encourage him about her not being able to help him just yet. He knew he would have to come up with some way for her to help him later on when he fully decided to take on the task of making the water clones. It was always him making sure he knew what he was getting into. It was also something he lacked directly in battle. He lacked the ability to make full judgmental calls before it was nearly too late. He nearly got his arm chopped off because of it. He had been slowly been able to do those calls recently.
”…No worries…..I…I…tell…yu…if there….anything….pr…promise…” He smiled weakly at this now. He pushed some of his hair back from his face. When he made promises to someone he usually kept it and he was glad he could full fill those promises to someone.
When he went to stand up he felt her weight slowly come off him, but because of how he had his foot it was way too correct anything. He was cursing inside his head at how stupid he was to take out his weapons why she was leaning on him like this. It was not like him to be this careless when she was around him like this knowing what his weapons could do and all was something he had studies for a while. He knew he would never hear the end of this and he was worried what she was going to do when she realized he had tripped over his own weapon like this. Luckily there was no one else in the area to see this.
When he tried to catch her and keep of hold of his glasses, Satoshi found Maiko trying to catch him as well. The fall, however, had already made up its own mind and he had fallen right on her. He was breathless because he had never been this close to a girl and he didn’t know how she felt about him nor her about him. This to him was the worst day of his life because of him landing on her and everything. He didn’t want to ruin his relationship with her as a friend. Outside of his books to him Maiko was his best friend and he felt bad about not telling her this already.
The deep blush was for both frustration and out of his feelings for her. He wanted to tell her now, but knew there was no way he could possible tell her at the moment. Maybe in a few years he could see himself telling her how he felt about her. For now he would try and get through this embarrassing moment with her. Their other teammate was out on a mission with another team and their sensei was doing other things with her life now. Only was good, but he also knew that anyone that would come up on this would think this was no accident. Best course of action was to get off her as quickly as possible right? He went to say something, but Maiko was already talking.
”Sa-Satoshi-kun, I didn’t think you could be so bold. If you wanted to do this y-you just had to ask.””
He stared at her and was not even sure what was going on at the moment. All he had to do was ask and he could do this to her. What was this suppose to mean? He heard something different in her voice even though she tried to use her joking voice with him there was something else behind it. This confused him soo much at the moment and he just wanted to flee from her at the moment. Before he could do anything she had said that it was only a joke. Even this statement there was something behind her voice that he could not pick up on. He didn’t know what to do at the moment or even what to say.
He blinked a couple of times to try and focus on her face to see what expression she had, but he only saw a blur for the most part. It pained him to be so blind at the moment and had no idea where his glasses were. He would need her to find them that was for sure. He didn’t say anything at her comments because he felt that he would just make her feel bad about stumbling over his words. There was no way he could do that to her right now.
When she went to slide out from underneath him he raised himself up because he didn’t trust himself to move without his glasses. When she accidently knocked his arm from under him and finished his own landing against her his breath was taking away from him. His heart started to beat faster than what it ever had. He felt her arm that just knocked into his arm right next to him. He vaguely heard what she said about making it worse.
He slowly moved his hand over hers and grasped it into his hand. He was not sure what was coming over him. He gave her hand a squeeze and refused to let go of it for now. He knew there was no way in hell that he would tell her how he felt about her now. He was right on top of her and couldn’t see her face fully, but knew there was something behind her voice that he was holding back from him. It didn’t take him long to bite his lip for a brief second.
His head was right next to hers and he could feel her breathing on him. His eyes barely made out the difference in her features of her face. He could tell where her lips were for the most part. He gave a weak smile before leaning all the way into her and pressed his lips against hers. He knew if she didn’t like him like that she would smack him or something. It was the only think he could do to show and tell her how he felt at the moment.

After the fall and her joke, Maiko was just waiting to see what Satoshi’s reaction to it all was. What she had expected was for him to start blubbering and stammering again, followed by quickly getting off of her. Instead, he just stayed there, looking at her. Probably because his glasses were still off; he couldn’t get a look at her face or was unsure of where to move. Still, the confusion, along with the guilt, was the reason she had to tell him it was a joke, even if to a degree it wasn’t. Yes, she really didn’t want to go to far with it all, but if there had to be a person to fall on top of her, she preferred it would be him. Any other guy she would have probably slapped and/or stabbed by now after all.
After trying to get herself out from underneath him, Maiko just made it all worse by knocking out his support and causing him to fall on her more. She admitted it was her own fault, and by this point she was close enough she could just feel the tiniest sense of his heart beating. It was beating pretty fast, and admittedly her own heart was as well. This had all gone a little bit too far for her; this wasn’t any simple tease anymore at least. She was in Satoshi’s spot right now, that was for sure.
Of course, the next few moments didn’t help that. Satoshi grabbed her hand in what was an unusually bold move for him. He was fine with her leaning on him, but this time he was the one initiating the action. Apparently this fall had been his limit on embarrassment; so maybe some good did come out of this accident after all. Which, of course, made Maiko wonder why she had never considered it before. Probably because there was no real way she could fake a ‘fall’ and not just seem overly cheesy about it. When he squeezed her hand, however, Maiko really didn’t squeeze back. There was hesitance in it, and her mind really wasn’t working on the moment. After all, she wasn’t used to being the passive, embarrassed one in the teasing.
Within seconds, however, Maiko was beaten. Satoshi gave her a weak smile before coming right onto her for a kiss. Maiko’s heart skipped a beat, and for a few seconds she reciprocated the action. Apparently all the blood was rushing from her brain to her skin as she blushed furiously, but as she relaxed a little bit and enjoyed the moment, her mind began to work again. Sure, she liked Satoshi and all, but this was starting to get a little much even for her. And more importantly, it was Satoshi leading it; the shy, awkward, incapable of saying a full sentence to her Satoshi had initiated the kiss. Apparently the teasing had worked, but maybe it had worked a little too well. Considering the fact he had started it, however, Maiko let him enjoy it for a few seconds before breaking it off and letting go of his hand.
”I-I really didn’t mean for you to actually go a-and do it Sat-Satoshi-kun. I, I, uhm…”
Great, the one time words were actually important she was at a lost for them. On the one hand she was glad that Satoshi finally grew a spine and went for something, but on the other this hadn’t really been what she had wanted to happen. The plan was for him to learn to speak full sentences and then go to a confession of love, not a full on make-out. Well, it wasn’t a full-on one, but that wasn’t the point. This had skipped a bit too far ahead for her own taste, which was kind of odd cause usually she loved to flirt and tease with him. Maybe it was just the situation that made it all awkward; falling on each other, an apparently bad timed joke, etc.
Still, she really didn’t want to lie to Satoshi and say she had no feelings for him. That would just break his heart anyway, and after actually kissing back, lying wouldn’t actually be a good idea. If she did, Satoshi might just think her a tease, a cat messing with a mouse before killing it. That wasn’t what she wanted him to think of her at all. This was a delicate situation, one she had to be careful in trying to solve. First off, they probably should get off of each other. Gently pushing Satoshi away till he got himself off, Maiko finally sat up, straightened up her clothes, and then started to talk to Satoshi again.
”O-okay then, I-I guess I should probably try and explain. First off I-I’m glad that you f-finally got the courage to, well, uhm, kiss me like that, and to l-let you know it wasn’t exactly u-unpleasant. However….”
Maiko could already see that this wasn’t going to be going anywhere nice. It’s never nice to hear someone start off with a compliment and then say ‘however.’ Hopefully Satoshi wouldn’t get completely depressed about it; she wasn’t trying to reject him or anything like that. Just slow things down to a more comfortable level, hopefully one with full sentences. If he was embarrassed about her hanging onto him after this, then he was way to easily embarrassed. At least this incident would raise the limits on what needed to be done to embarrass him, hopefully.
”However, let’s just say I didn’t expect that to happen when I came today. I-I had just hoped to get a full sentence out of you and, well, uh, I guess that was a little too fast for me. S-sounds a little silly knowing me but,” at that point she gave him a bit of a weak smile while rubbing the back of her head, straightening out her hair in the process.”But I guess what I’m saying is can we bring it back down a little bit, get a bit more comfortable with each other before breaking out into oasis-side romantic outings?”
That sounded really, really lame, didn’t it? Still joking while as red as a lobster; it was her style after all. After getting that cleared up, however, Maiko sat there in an awkward silence, not really sure what to do now. There was Satoshi’s reaction to deal with of course, but what after that? Maybe the best thing to do would be to try and forget about it and move on to some actual training? They both had jutsu to deal with after all; her wind and his water. Yeah, that might be a good idea. Once all this romantic stuff was over and done with they could get some training done to get their minds off of it. [/blockquote]

Satoshi was expecting Maiko to smack him for kissing her and holding her hand like the way he did and then kissing her. He didn’t even know that he had it in him to kiss her like that, but when he actually did it felt good. Sure he knew that it would probably was not the brightness thing that he ever did especially around her, but he did it and it felt like he got a lot off his chest when he did it.
He was shocked that she even kissed him back, but at the same time it also felt that it was missing something. He could not tell what exactly the kiss was missing, perhaps it was the way he went about doing the kiss or something. Right now he was not going to rack his brain over it mainly because it would be giving him a headache. He had achieve something that he never thought would be possible and that was good enough for him at the moment. It was not his voice like he wanted, but it would work right?
His achievement with Maiko was short lived once she let go of his hand and stopped the kiss. He lifted up to try and make out her face, but that was not going to happen with his eyes at the moment. He settled for listening to her instead. Before she got further in her statement she placed her hand on his shoulder and pushed him off her. It was not something that he really minded her doing, both of them needed to catch their breaths and think about what had just happened between the two of them.
When he was upright and sitting in the sand he twisted his head slowly to see if he could spot his glasses and weapon before she started. He ran his hand on top of the sand around him, but he couldn’t find either one of them at the moment before she started to talk again. He slowly turned his head to where he was hearing her speak about what just happened. She liked it, but she thought they were going way to fast.
Satoshi looked at the sand and closed his eyes. He did enjoy kissing her, but he also felt that something was missing from everything that just happened. There was no way he was going to tell anyone about this, perhaps his mother, but that was beside the point. He told her nearly everything, but at the moment he was not sure if he was ready to tell her this at all.
He titled his head like if he was a confuse puppy as she spoke to him. However, when she was done talking he could relate to her. He was not sure how their relationship would advance, but already knew that in time it would, jut not yet. He still had the stutter problem with even trying to make a few words out to her. He wanted to overcome that a great deal and knew he would have to work on it more aggrievedly.
He took a deep breath as he ran a hand through his blonde hair. ”….I…o…okay…” It sounded like he wanted to say something else, but before he could he changed his mind and simply said okay. To him it was easier to get out and agreeing with her was exactly what he was feeling at the moment.
He moved and got on his knees and started to actually search for his glass. He knew he had to find them before something else found them so they could get to some actually training. He wanted to place everything that had just happened behind him and a good training session was the medicine just for that. He ran his hands back through the sand. He first found his chain to his weapon and he grinned. Not exactly what he was looking for since they had be the cause of what had just happened. He knew he had to be more careful with what he was doing now especially if he had her leaning on him.
In a fit to try and find them faster so he did not look like an idiot in front of Maiko and being totally blind at the moment. He moved his hands a bit faster against the top of the sand and even spreading his arms out more. He felt the side of the outside of his hand hit against something and the he heard a cracking noise. He winced slightly when he knew the only thing that could have happened if he had hit his glasses against a rock that was buried in the sand. He slowly gripped his fingers around the ear piece of his glasses and pulled them out of the sand. He traced his fingers against the frames and felt them bent was all, but when he placed his fingers on the left lens piece he felt the cracks in it. He sighed slightly.
”Geez, why do I look like an idiot around her all the time….” He blew off the sand and stuck the glasses on his face. It would do for now until he got back to the village and have the shop to replace the lens. It was common for him to do this and he was glad that the shop usually had an extra pair for him the only problem he could see was money, but he would figure that out later.
”R…i…ght…tr…aining?” He was trying not to be seen has a complete fool at the moment.

It seemed to Maiko that Satoshi was a little shocked at her reaction to his kissing. Of course, she was equally shocked that he was able to do such a thing in the first place. However, all of that was rather short lived once Maiko’s mind hit upon the implications of the scene and pulled back. She was glad Satoshi didn’t mind her pushing him off of her; he probably realized it was a good idea to do so anyway. Between the awkwardness of the moment, plus possibly shortness of breath from her (you know, being squished and all she rationalized). And since this was currently his crowning achievement in getting over shyness, there really wasn’t a need to go any farther with it for now.
When she started talking, Maiko saw that he still didn’t have his glasses and was trying to find him. She wanted to help him, but had more important issues on her mind. Plus, he probably would want to find them on his own. After what just happened, knowing him, he probably wouldn’t want to get close to her at all without burning red with embarrassment. So instead she just sat off to the side talking, informing him of her views on it all. Mostly she just thought it a little too fast, too big of a leap to be on the ground kissing each other like that. Not that she disliked it, but even she had a little restraint. Plus, coming from Satoshi it was too big of a shock to process at the moment; better to step back and think it through than to get lost in the moment and possibly do something regretful, right?
One thing she had to wonder though; what would others think? She wasn’t planning on telling anyone, but Satoshi told his mother everything? Or would he break custom this one time and leave it out. Maiko didn’t think the woman wouldn’t react negatively about it; after all, they had been friends for the longest time and as far as Maiko knew his mother liked her. Of course, she never really met the woman; she relied on Satoshi for any information related to that. The only contact she had with her might have been an occasional conversation like asking if Satoshi was home or something. Eh, no point worrying about that right now.
Satoshi seemed to understand what she was saying, though he was giving her that ‘confused puppy’ look that he had sometimes. Still, he managed to get out an okay, though Maiko had a feeling he wanted to say something else. Normally she’d try and make him spit it out, but right now she was content to just put it all behind them and move on. No use forcing Satoshi, who was probably not in a comfortable situation right now, into an even worse one. Heck, she didn’t want to keep pressing the issue either, so she sat in silence as she watched Satoshi begin to dig around trying to find his glasses. Maiko just sighed, but didn’t say anything. He had enough teasing for the day; no point adding onto it.
For a moment she thought he found it, but it was just his weapon chain; the evil, evil chain that started the mess. Well, she couldn’t call it evil since it sort of moved their relationship along, but it was the thought that counted. Bored, Maiko started to glance around and see if she could spot a glare in the sand from the glass. However, she didn’t spot anything, but glancing towards Satoshi she saw that he had some…success. He found his glasses all right, but apparently they were cracked and bent. Maiko hoped he could replace those without a problem; considering she had stolen them earlier and had probably played a role in getting them lost she felt like was partially responsible. She almost asked if he wanted to head back to the village for now till he brought up training.
”Well, if you’re up for it. But don’t wreck those glasses anymore, kay?” she asked, getting herself up off the ground and wiping off the sand all over her. That was the one bad thing about black clothing; you could always see the messes on them.
”A-anyway, the jutsu I was looking was simply called Wind Cutter*. The concept seems simple enough; it’s a blade of wind that cuts the enemy, though not an actual blade like that Jounin Baki’s Wind Blade technique. I thought it might a good technique to use in case I don’t have access to my fans,” seeing as she was being a little selfish again, she turned the conversation back to Satoshi’s water elemental,”Or did you want to practice your water jutsu, which by the way I still think is rather neat you have a second element. I wonder what mine would be if I had one….”
Forgetting about Satoshi for a second, Maiko’s mind wandered off as to what her second element would be if she had one. Fire would be an awesome choice; her wind jutsu combined with it would be unstoppable. Besides, she had such a ‘fiery’ personality that it might work. Lightning could be rather cool too; she always thought it impressive to see ninja holding such a potent element in their hands. Plus, the light show was pretty awe inspiring. Earth was a little more boring, but she could steal Satoshi’s technique a bit and start throwing boulders around at people with her wind jutsu. Water flowed a little bit like air, but it would be so cliché to have the same elemental set up as Satoshi. It was already kind of cheesy they both were wind and weapon users.
Maiko’s mind eventually returned to reality, and she quickly gave Satoshi a weak smile as she apologized for drifting off like that. ”Eh eh, sorry Satoshi, my mind wandered off. Anyway, so what would it be, wind or water?”

Satoshi was slightly glad that she was not trying to help him find is glasses at the moment. It would only end up him pulling away from her and trying to look elsewhere around for them, however, he knew that it would be fast for her to find them then him. Right now he was just glad that she was nowhere around him trying to help him look for his glasses.
Everything that happened today was something that normally would never have happened if he didn’t trip of his own weapon. True it was not the first time he had done that, but it was the first time that Maiko was close enough to him when he did or even seen. He would leave it to this was the first time that he had tripped over it in recent events. He was more graceful when using the weapons. He would also remember not to summon them out when he was bent down and was around someone at the present time. ”Right, weapon need to be summoned when standing off along…not near someone like that…” He sighed to himself as he try to say that in his head about ten times, that always made him remember quickly, but at the same time it took some time to remember anything.
He was also not sure if he was actually going to tell his mother about the incident. He knew she would make a fuss about the whole thing and want to meet Maiko face to face on more terms then just asking if he was around. Perhaps now he could have her over for lunch or dinner for his mother could properly meet his best friend. He didn’t have to tell his mother anything that happened today. The only thing that she had to know was that they were training with one another. It was simple enough for him because he didn’t want his mother making a big fuss over this just yet. Maiko had said that he had jumped the gun a bit and he fully agreed. He knew he needed to find his voice around her, but he just didn’t know how. For now he would hold off from telling his mother anything that had just happened today. There was no need to drag her into something that he himself was not sure about. Until there was something more between them it was just going to be between him and Maiko. He was not even sure how he was going to tell Maiko; she knew that he talked to his mother.
When he found his glasses and slipped them on his face, he could still see okay and the cracks were more to the edge of his glasses. He knew the cracks could cost him if he was in a real life and death situation. He would have to remember to order a back up pair just in case something like this happened on a mission. If Reinja was with them and they broke and he didn’t have a back up pair; she would probably threaten to shot him in the rear with one of her arrows and probably would try. It was something that he was afraid of.
He looked over to her when she told him not to go breaking the glasses anymore. He chuckle slightly and shook his head. He knew he was going to get a slight headache and he didn’t need a worse one because of his glasses being broken. He reached down and picked up his chain and shook all the sand off it. He didn’t like to grab it with sand being all over the handles since it was harder to hold that way and he didn’t need it slipping out of his hand and hitting anyone.
Satoshi looked up to her when she started talking about the small wind cutter. He blinked slightly since he already knew it and it was one of the first jutsu that he worked on with his Fuuton alignments when he was placed on the team. He looked down at his weapon and nodded slightly and grabbed the hands and walked a bit away from her. He did not want to hurt her to what he was about to do and it was best that there was a good room.
He knew he had forgot to mention this and it was not like he use his Fuuton in every missions and he was more keen to using the one he had made himself with the help of Reinja during the time of learning and catching up to the rest of the team.
He closed his eyes and started to store up his chkara around the left handle of the blade. When he opened his eyes he brought the left hand weapon up straight up and across his chest. It was a basic cut design from him, but the sand starting about a half a feet from his feet started to cut through the sand a good ten feet. It was the Wind Cutter she was talking about done with a small amount of force.
”Huh….I already know it…..” He looked down to his feet. ”…I…i…can…help you…with it…” He took a deep breath since it was probably the first thing he said to her since the whole incident with falling on her and kissing her.
