PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

Kurenai stands Five foot five and weights around one hundred and twenty pounds. She has a slender body, but the curves to fit her sleek figure. She is not afraid to show off her skin especially her legs for the most part. Her skin tone does have a tannish look about the parts that she keeps uncover, however, the tan fades away during the winter months and darkens back up in the summer months. She has a small heart shape freckle on her inside part of her shoulder that she does not show off.

Kurenai has a round face and always carries a smile on her face. She always wears red lipsticks on her lips. The lipstick matches her crimson eyes that have always stood out for her even through her time at the academy. She has black hair that is wavy and curly at the end and it does down just about four inches past her shoulders.

CLOTHING DESCRIPTION:

Kunerai wears a dress that has her right arm in a long red sleeve. Her other arm is uncovered and stops at the shoulder. The design of the dress looks as a pattern of cloth chasing around her body. In the middle of the each piece of cloth is a black like that as a thorn looking pattern going from under and under the line. Under the cloth dress she wears a fishnet shirt and a black one under that one. The fishnet shirt has a dark red trim on the collar. On both of her hands she wears a thin line of medical bandages to support her wrist and palms when she is force to do taijutsu. She wears normal black shinobi sandals. Her Leaf Headband she wears around her forehead proudly.

PERSONALITY:

Kurenai tends to be more of an observant before she speaks her mind about something. She likes to get different points of views before making her final judgment about things. When she does speak her mind she tends to speak in a well manner before she out becomes angry at someone. She would rather turn her cheek before she blows up at someone because they don’t see her point of view.

Kurenai likes poke fun of her lover, Asuma, every now and then. She knows that it helps he think and become better at teaching or fighting. Kurenai would do anything that Asuma ask of her now, but leave the village that she loves and protects. She enjoys of keeping her relationship away from the public view since it would only draw the Third Hokage into the picture and she does not want to see Asuma fighting with his father.

She likes to encourage people more than she likes to point out what they are doing wrong. She likes to show them how to do it right and phrase them from their efforts. She believes that the only way in learning how to do it right is to practice and practice and from positive feedback.

When she was first assign her first genin team to training, she was a little surprise to find who was on it. First it was the Aburame Shino, from a clan that as always been known to be reserve and watchfully over everything. She still does not really knows how to approach him only time would tell when they actually meet.

The next person she found to be assign on the team was an over hyper Inuzuka Kiba and his partner Akamaru. Even though this pair seems to be a bit off from the team and how she approaches things she excited to meet up with him and she what the famous Inuzuka boy can do.

The final person that has been placed under her teachings is none of other than the shy Hyuuga Heir, Hinata. Through others she has learned that Hinata has always been timid and Kurenai is determined to push the young girl out of her shell and to teach her everything that she knows. Even though she has never been known as the timid one, Kurenai knows what it is like to be shy and sees a bit of herself within the girl.

HISTORY:

Yūhi Kurenai was born on June 11^th to Yūhi Kiyoshi, a local merchant in the Kusagakure village and a Jonin, Yūhi Akane. Akane was a well known Genjutsu specialist that had dark red eyes like the daughter she gave birth to when she was twenty-seven years old. Since the Kusagakure village was a small one and was constantly at war with neighboring villages it was not long before Kurenai lost her mother in a mission. Her mother died shortly after her first birthday and her father took care of her within the village that his wife loved so much. When Kurenai turned five years old, her mother’s shinobi friends were trying to get Kiyoshi to sign Kurenai up for their small academy, however, Kiyoshi refused to allow his daughter live the life of war that kept plaguing the small village. He sold his shop and took his daughter into the Hidden Leaf Village.

Soon after arriving in the Hidden Leaf Village, Kiyoshi brought a small shop to sell his merchandise and watched his daughter grow. It was not long before Kurenai meet a young boy by the name of Sarutobi Asuma who was the same age of she was. From the moment they meet on the play ground at the age of five the seemed inseparable. Kurenai always wanted to be around her new friend and when he started to attend the village ninja academy she wanted to join as well. When her father told her that she was not allow to attend the academy; she went and told Asuma who in return told his father.

A few months after Kurenai watched Asuma started to attain the academy, her father after seeing the sadness in her face decided to let her join. It was not long before she caught up to the rest of her class and rank top within her age group at the age of seven. Not only was Kurenai in top of the class, so was Asuma. Their bond only grew at they both started to train as shinobi together and wanted to help each other achieve their goals.

Just a few months after her eighth birthday, Kurenai was looking for something to give to Asuma as a good luck charm when she came across her mother’s Kusagakure Headhand. She traced the symbol of the headband and slipped it into a box under her bed. She knew from the stories that her father’s friend use to tell her that it belonged to her mother. She just could not remember all the stories that they told or what they consist of. She was determine later in life that she would ask her father more about what her mother did in the Whirlpool village, until then she was going to become a better shinobi.

One day just before her ninth birthday, Kurenai and Asuma was walking down the street of the village when one of the older kids from the academy stopped and them and started to pick on Kurenai because of not being born in the village and that her father was poor. Kurenai was about to respond when Asuma out of nowhere punched the older boy in the cheek. Kurenai turned her head and walked off because she didn’t understand why Asuma would do that for her or why the other boy wanted to pick on her. She was training to be a Leaf Ninja like Asuma and the stories he told about his father and the other stories that she had heard within the village about the other Hokages before the Third excited her to want to make a good shinobi for the Leaf.

Kurenai spent two months avoiding Asuma has she worked on her skills. She started to study one of the old scrolls that she found in storage of her mother’s stuff that had a few Chuunin level genjutsu. When she started to read the scrolls and watch the older students to create genjutsu she slowly started to pick up how genjutsu was done. Her first successful genjutsu she learned was False Surrounding after another girl caught Kurenai practicing the technique on her own.

At nine, along with Asuma, Kurenai was promoted to the rank of Genin because of her ability to create a Chuunin Level Genjutsu. When they were assigned a team Kurenai and Asuma was assigned to the same team along with another male from their age group that showed potential in taijutsu. Over the next four three years the three of them tackled missions on missions together and learning how to become proper shinobi. However, Kurenai started to notice a change in Asuma mostly consisting between him and the Third Hokage, even after the Forth Hokage took up the position. Kurenai was always pulling Asuma away from the Hokage in order to go train to take the stress and frustration out of him. Training was always one way that Kurenai had learned to deal with Asuma’s ill temper towards the Third.

At the age of twelve the team was allowed to enter their first Chuunin Exam after being held back the previous few years for being away on a mission and one year the third member of their party had taken ill during the time of the exam. The first two rounds of the exams were made easy and they passed without that much trouble. However, in Kurenai first round in the third exam she took a blow to the head from a Suna ninja and was knocked out for the rest of the matches. When she woke up she found that only Asuma from the team had passed into the ranks of Chuunin. She had to smile for her friend because she was proud of him.

The following year another exam rolled by that her and the other member of their team pass without a problem. They were all three Chuunin and their sensei gave each of them a pair of earrings to celebrate the occasion. This was the first pair of earrings that she had ever gotten for anyone and she paid to get her ears pierced and she wore them proudly, she even gotten a few comments from Asuma about them.

When she was fourteen years old the Kyuubi attacked the village. Her team was quickly dispatched to evaluate the villagers to safety so none of them would be hurt or killed in the attack. Asuma had other plans as he left Kurenai with a small group of people to make it to the front line of actions. She called back to him a number of times before giving up and going after him herself. When she reached the Asuma they were a good two hundred feet from the action itself, but still the growl of the Kyuubi sent a chill up her spine when she reached out and took hold of Asuma’s shoulder. ”Asuma! We shouldn’t be here…we was order to protect the villagers…come…please…this thing is way above our level…” She was nearly pleading with him for the first time to listen to her other than doing what he wanted to do.

Within seconds Asuma pulled out of her grip and went towards the attack in front of them. Kurenai ran after him once more and wrapped both of her arms around him and was nearly in tears at the moment for him not listening to her. Just then came another loud growl from the monstrous beast ahead of them and Kurenai tighten her grip on Asuma and closed her eyes refusing to let him go.

Another moment or two cheers could be heard as the Fourth Hokage sealed the Kyuubi into an infant. The Third Hokage gathered the Chuunin and the adults of the village and made it law not to speak about the Kyuubi in the infant Uzumaki Naruto.

Over the next few years the team trained together and went on missions with one another without raising any fuss with each other. By time Kurenai was seventeen she helping out with her father’s shop in the village and learning how to sell stuff. It was something to do when she was not on a mission or flirting with Asuma that she had taken up in the recent years. However, they all went unnoticed by him so far. She slowly started to fiddle with more genjutsu and noticed that she had a gift for creating genjutsu better than she was at taijutsu and ninjutsu. She started to work on her chakra control in order to develop her own style of genjutsu that she had been reading up on from her mother’s older scrolls that she could hidden away.

One night while she was attending the shops and her father was travelling to one of the smaller villages to sell sometimes a group of ANBU came to her shop and handed her a broken package that her father had been carrying to the village. She blinked and looked up to them. ”What is this about…where my father….”

”He was killed when rogue ninja attacked him…this is all we found with a lot of blood.”

Kurenai looked down and stared at the package and a few tears rolled down her cheeks. The ANBU left the shop and Kurenai went and closed it down to be alone. Days went by until Asuma came and checked on her. She didn’t want to see him, but he forced himself in the house and saw her in tears still. Over the next few weeks Kurenai started to go about her normal daily task without the shop. She sold the shop a few months later after finding that she had no time to tend to it and work as a shinobi, something that she loved doing.

At the age of seventeen things turned for the worse between the Third Hokage and Asuma. Kurenai watched as the two of them drifted apart more and more until finally Asuma had enough and tried to convince her to leave the village with him. Kurenai turned him down and she watched Asuma leave the village. It was the second time in her life that she cried because of a man.

For the next seven years she devoted herself to learning more genjutsu and even created her Blossom and Tree blinding genjutsu after a number of years of getting it wrong from time to time. She never really worked on ninjutsu since she barely could focus her time on learning Elemental jutsu or anything of the nature.

When she turned twenty-five, Asuma returned to the village and the two reconnected after a few months of Kurenai telling him off for leaving the village for such a long time without any word to her. The two grew closer and closer until one day Asuma asked her out, but their relationship has remained secret so far, something that she has been thankfully.

At twenty six, she was promoted to the rank of Jounin and given her first Genin Squad to train. Aburame Shino, Inuzuka Kiba, and Hyuuga Hinata. Something that she has been looking forward to doing: teaching others.

Flower Petal Dissolve Jutsu :: Flower petal technique is a Genjutsu utilized by the Leaf Jounin Yuuhi Kurenai. If Kurenai becomes trapped in a Genjutsu or wants to appear to be trapped she can disperse into a shower of flower petals. With this technique these petals will fly around and consume her targets, dissolving their bodies away.

Flower Petal Escape :: Flower petal technique is a Genjutsu utilized by the Leaf Jounin Yuuhi Kurenai. If Kurenai comes under attack, she can use this technique to cover her escape. After forming the needed hand seals, Kurenai's body will disperse into a shower of flower petals. These petals will confuse and distract her opponent while she escapes or hides.

Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death :: Magen • Jubaku Satsu is a Genjutsu technique utilized by the Leaf Jounin Yuuhi Kurenai. After forming the needed hand seals, Kurenai will disappear and approach her target. Once near her target, a tree will grow at their feet and its branches will bind them so they can no longer move. Once the illusion makes them believe they are captured, Kurenai will appear from the tree itself and stab her target with a kunai.

Illusion Technique: Mist [Kasumi] :: Kurenai creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals.

Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death :: Kurenai traps the opponent in a flower bud and explodes it in a flowery release.

Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique :: This jutsu changes the appearance of a nearby object or area.

Sly Mind Affect Technique [Kori Shinchū no Jutsu] :: This jutsu causes the enemy to walk around in circles for hours by making it seem as if they're walking straight to their desired destination. The enemy eventually becomes exhausted after traveling the same path over and over.

The lower the number the more of power they have while in the air which can result in cutting of the skin or clothing. The higher the number the less power the petals have and is usually used has an escape option. A Rank jutsu because she is using nothing else but her chakra to create the petals. She does not use this often.

RP SAMPLE:Kurenai was looking over the list of her students and over the notes that she had gotten from the academy sensei about each of her students. She was not sure what to do about them seeing how there was one timid one, one hyper one and one that barely spoke a full sentence and yet out of each of them the one that barely spoke was the one with the tops marks in the academy. She ran a hand through her hair and closed her eyes. She knew sooner or later that she was going to have to call a team meeting and see how they work together. A new team always needed work on team work; however, the Inuzuka would help in that since they already knew how to work together with their dogs.

She looked up at the deep blue sky with a smile on her face. She also knew that Asuma was assigned a team, but was not sure exactly who was on it yet. She would find that out later tonight when they meet up and talked about their day before going off to sleep for the night. She knew this team might be trouble for her, but it was something that she was actually getting excited about. It was her first big assignment that the village had given her other than doing missions and missions and being out of the village. She knew that her job would require the same thing, but this time she was in charge and their lives were in her hands.

She glanced back down at the information she had and folded it back up and placed it in her bag she had brought with her. ”This is only going to tell me so much. I think a team meeting is in order to actually get to know the three of them…perhaps tomorrow….after I find out what type of team that Asuma got assigned.” She giggled slightly and leaned back with a smile on her face.
