Kurenai looked up slightly to Hinata when she sounded cheerful to know that she would always be there to help her out. She smiled and nodded her head slightly because she knew the girl was still going to try her best at everything that she did and it made her want to believe more in her student. There was no way that she was going to tell the two boys on her time this yet because she wanted to see how their personalities were in the team foundation. She needed more information that what files gave her in the first place.
She glanced at the files that she had picked up a few days ago and she was going over with Asuma before things got playful between them. She had picked them up and stashed them out of view before he left in case someone else came knocking on her front door. It had turned around that Hinata was there waiting for her and she was glad that she stashed away the files before letting Asuma out. There was no need for Hinata to see her file or the two boys. Perhaps this could become a two sided window of information.
She turned her head back to Hinata and reached her hand up and pushed her hair behind her face now. ”Now, that you sound cheerful again. Would you mind telling me a bit of anything about your two teammates Aburame Shino and Inuzuka Kiba? That if you care to share with me that is.” Paperwork was something that she never really relied on for much useful information and she just wanted to see if Hinata would keep silent or tell her what she wanted to know.
She smiled slightly when Hinata once more thanked her for her comment. She did feel that the girl sitting near her had some skill that she didn’t see herself and she slowly started to work out how she could bring to light this skill without her knowing all too well off it. Her mind flashed back some to when she was a Genin herself and her sensei was trying to draw out their natural skills. One of hers had been for observation over things that her teammates didn’t see. Perhaps she could work some of that into training with Hinata? However, now was not the time to dwell on such matters since the girl wanted information about trying to win over a heart of a boy that clearly barely see her at all.
She made sure she paid close attention to how Hinata described being around Naruto when she was. She held back a small giggle when she did realize that it was a crush and admiration mixed in together. She took another drink of her tea and pointed to Hinata’s own cup. ”You will want to drink that before it gets warm. And it is not hard to avoid eye contact at a boy that you are stalking. Yes, I have heard the rumors where you are stalking him, but didn’t really believe it until now. However, I can see why it would be considered stalking from the outsides that don’t know the situation at hand.”
“Now, I am going to explain each of these symptoms that you have. Heart fluttering, stomach queasy, and red hot face are a sign of affection. Your playing of the fingers and eve contact would fall under your nervousness.” She smiled slightly since she didn’t really know what the fainting was about. She had never fainted with Asuma, but that was only because he gave her attention anytime that she wanted it. It was rather often of that case too. ”Fainting…hmm well that is a odd one, but it might be because you work yourself up more than you realize…”

~~~Hinata Hyuuga~~~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The subject of conversation soon started to change towards something unexpected for Hinata; her teammates. It seemed to be odd to bring it up, but Hinata could at least guess the thought process that had lead to it. With all this talking Kurenai had given a lot of information on herself and her life; it was only fair that she returned info on her teammates. Also, Kurenai probably wanted to know a little more about her other two future students. This meeting was giving Kurenai plenty of information on herself; Shino and Kiba probably weren’t going to have such intimate meetings with her to get the same. So now was probably the best she was going to get at knowing more about them ahead of time.
The thing was she wasn’t too familiar with them, at least in relation to what she knew on Naruto. Still, she had just told Kurenai she would do the best that she could for her, so that meant that she would have to answer her question the best that she could. After all, they had been in the Academy together all these years; she knew some things about them.
”O-kay Kurenai-sensei. Uhm, Kiba is sort of like Naruto. He’s energetic, stubborn, loud, and a bit of a troublemaker but really loves his dog Akamaru. Unlike Naruto he’s a bit more cocky than annoying, and a little quicker to anger too. But overall he seems to be a nice person. Shino…well, no one really knows too much on him. He’s a very quiet person, but it’s not out of shyness. It’s more of a….I guess stoic would be the best word. A-admittedly he creeps me out a little, but he’s very intelligent. That’s, that’s about all I can say on them.” she finished up.
With that finished, the topics focused was on Naruto. This was Hinata’s most personal topic, but she was handling it rather well she thought. At least the worse she had suffered was some flushing; no fainting or anything like that involved. This meant that Kurenai was the first person to actually hear about this outside of some rumors, and definitely the first to actually hear her side of it and the reasons for it. Still, even with the personal and comfortable level of the atmosphere, it was still a little startling to hear Kurenai coming right out stating about her ‘stalking’ Naruto. Being called out on that was startling enough that Hinata was quick to take the advice offered from Kurenai to drink her tea. Hiding her face in her cup, she listened as Kurenai went on to talk about the physical side of things.
Admittedly, all of it Hinata had been self-conscious about her ticks. Blushing, queasiness, and heart fluttering were common side-effects of, as Kurenai pointed out, affection. The finger playing was, of course, nervousness. However, Kurenai did agree that fainting was an odd thing, leading Hinata to once again bury her face in her tea as she drank the last of it. With nothing left to distract her from reality, Hinata was forced to face the reality in front of her.
”I-I know that’s the reason. I’m not really sure why I do so, and I’ve been working on not fainting at least. Though I also do tend to stutter a little, but also trying to be more conscious of that. S-still, it’s hard to keep concentration when he’s appearing right in your face or complimenting….uhm, things…” her mind wandered to that meeting in the training ground when Naruto mentioned she shouldn’t hide her ‘body’ underneath the jacket. Her face turned rather red for a moment before she moved the thought away and focused on the moment.
”A-anyway, I was hoping for some advice on how to control that. I really don’t like looking like a nervous wreck in front of him, let alone fainting….” she mumbled off. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~~The Heiress of the Hyuuga Clan ~~~
Kurenai smiled more when Hinata told information about her teammates to her. She could go either way on dealing with the matter. She could scold the girl for releasing the information so easily or she could just take it and thank for her it. She was leaning towards the latter of the two though, seeing how the girl was coming to her for help and pretty much bearing out her soul and heart to her at the moment. She didn’t think Hinata could take a scolding right off that bat like this for answering something about her teammates.
She nodded her head slightly and finished the tea and set the glass down on the table. She leaned back some and closed her eyes. One of the boys was hyper like Naruto and one of them freaked her out. It seemed like she had gotten a team that would need to find their balance before anything. She would have to call them out for a training session and see how they got along with one another. For now she would focus her train of thought onto one problem that one of her students was facing at the moment.
”Thank you for the information, that is more useful to me than what the academy senseis said to me. Their words were a bit more bookish in a manner than real answers.” She decided to end that right there because she didn’t want to go into more detail onto what the senseis said about her new students.
Once she had finish mentioning the stalking to Hinata she paid close attention to how she reacted and saw that she went to bury herself in her drink now. She giggled slightly and leaned back and closed her eyes. She could already tell that she was going to have to choose her words around this young girl carefully in order for her not to push around her so much. However, she was enjoying getting this reaction from the girl because it reminded her of her own childhood where her and her girlfriends would hang around each other and tell secrets like this to one another. She felt honored in a way since Hinata was telling her all this.
She opened her eyes and watched Hinata and nodded some. She leaned her arm on the arm rest of the couch and then her head on her open palm. She didn’t seem bored, but amused by the information she was getting and there was no way that she was going to use this against her student. She wanted to make this clear to her now. ”You know whatever you say to me right now is just between us. There is no reason on this earth that I would go telling your secrets to anyone.” She meant it and her voice held the seriousness of her words.
She giggled slightly when she said that Naruto was appearing in her face and all. She knew she couldn’t understand the fainting and was slowly mulling it over in her head for the most part. She wanted advice to stop the fainting, but she was drawing a blank at the moment. ”I think that might take some time in a sense Hinata. First thing first, I think we should work on the nervous habits, sadly I can’t help with feelings of affection that you get.”
~~~Hinata Hyuuga~~~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The discussion surrounding her teammates soon proved to be a rather short one as Kurenai simply thanked her for the information and mentioned that her information was more useful than the senseis at the Academy. Hinata thought that rather odd; she’d have thought that the instructors would have known more about the kids than what Hinata said. Then again, Hinata knew them outside of class and on a more friendly level, being the same age and all. Was that what Kurenai was trying to get at? Whatever the case, that was about where Kurenai stopped in her asking about her teammates, so Hinata figured that her answer had been sufficient. Still, she felt like she needed to say something…
”You’re welcome Kurenai-sensei. Hopefully our team will be able to get along.” she replied, giving a usual hope for the team not being devoured with in-fighting. Hinata felt like she could get along well with them though; there was nothing about the two of them she particularly disliked except for the creepiness of Shino’s bugs. But that was something she could get over, right?
As Hinata hid behind her cup, she could hear Kurenai giggling about it a little. That just made her worse off, face blushing more as she hid behind it some more. She hated being so self-conscious, and she knew that Kurenai didn’t mean anything bad when she giggled. To the casual observer it was sort of funny she guessed. Still, it was bringing attention to one of the biggest flaws in her personality, one that Hinata felt rather ashamed at having; her cowardice. Instead of facing problems she hid from them and avoided them. Now of course she understood that Kurenai didn’t mean to bring up such feelings when she giggled, but they were brought up anyway. It was just something that Hinata brought to her own mind when mentioned.
Before she could get down about it, however, Kurenai started talking again. This time she informed Hinata that anything they were saying now was in complete secret and she would never go and tell anyone any of this. It hadn’t even crossed Hinata’s mind that Kurenai would do such a thing; in fact, that’s why she had come here in the first place. While poor at defending herself, Hinata was good at defending others, something she showed as she almost sounded desperate as she talked to Kurenai.
”It never even crossed my mind you’d do such a thing Kurenai-sensei. That’s why I came to you in the first place!”
After her outburst Hinata clamped up a little more, but slowly opened herself again as the discussion turned to focus on fixing her faults. This had been the sort of thing she had come for; the indepth search into her personality and Naruto and such had been a side effect of that original goal. Apparently though all she could help with was the nervous feelings, and that it would take time. Well, Hinata figured it would take time (after all, there was years of this behavior behind her by now), and that the usual signs of affection wouldn’t go away. So helping with the nervousness, which was probably the biggest step into her actually interacting with Naruto, would be a good way to start things off.
”O-okay then Kurenai-sensei, what would you suggest I do then?” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~~The Heiress of the Hyuuga Clan ~~~

She nodded at the words about how Hinata hope that the team could work together. She was planning on seeing how the three of them work together right off that bat without realizing that they were doing at first. She wanted to see which one of her team was able to catch onto it faster and see how they would precede with the information. She was not going to talk with Hinata about these plans because that would ruin her little fun that she was going to have down the road soon. She simple took in the girl’s answer and started to form her own set of mind what the team was like from the information from the academy and from Hinata.
She looked over to Hinata when she spoke up about how she didn’t think that she would tell anyone the information and how that was the reason why she was there in the first place. She laughed slightly because not only did she gain more information on Hinata, but she had taken her words to an act on herself. She leaned up and watched Hinata for a moment or two and looked at her own empty glass on the table in front of her.
”There is two reasons why I mentioned that I wouldn’t go around telling people about this. One is to see how you reacted and it was kinda surprising. You defended my words about myself. That is a good quality to have because that means you will defend others faster than yourself and that is was a Shinobi is in a way. We defend what we believe in and our home. We would do anything in order to protect and defend those in need. Don’t lose that okay? Secondly, I know how rough it is to have someone to talk to at your age. I lost my mother before I came to this village with my father and I never had someone to step in as the role of a mother for myself. I found some comfort in telling my father my deepest thoughts, but not all of them. Some of them are still in my head lurking in the back. I found comfort in my father telling me that he would not go telling people these secrets of mine and it was something he reinforced over and over with me when I needed to talk to him. It’s a comforting feeling in a sense and I didn’t mean to think you thought I would tell your deepest darkest secrets.”
She leaned back again and closed her eyes thinking about how they could work on getting her over being nervous around Naruto. She smiled slightly and looked back over to the girl on her couch. ”Ever tried having someone to transform into him and see how it goes from there? You would know that it not really him and you can slowly start to work up the notion of talking tohim?”

~~~Hinata Hyuuga~~~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hinata listened intently as Kurenai began to discuss the situation at hand with the “no telling anything” discussion. She started by talking about her reaction to it was surprising, being rather quick to defend her than herself. That was just her natural inclination; she had years worth of being put down that she didn’t really think about defending herself. On the flip side, however, she always stood up for others that were being put down, especially people like Naruto and now Kurenai. Mostly, well, cause they were signs that she could improve herself; they were goals for her to work towards. Besides, Kurenai had been so kind to her that she couldn’t help but defend her; no one else would have bothered to take the time she was taking now to listen to her.
The fact that such an attitude was good for a shinobi was a simple bonus for Hinata. While from a young age in the Academy they had been taught that as shinobi they were to protect others and the mission ahead of themselves, it wasn’t surprising that many were in it for their own goals. Not that having goals was a bad thing, but many of them seemed to focus completely on that and nothing else. Admittedly Naruto was a bit like that; he wanted to become Hokage to gain the respect of the villagers. Still, sensed that deep down Naruto would be willing to defend his friends no matter what; after all he had already thrown himself into harms way to save herself once.
Kurenai’s second point though was a bit more surprising for Hinata in that it was Kurenai’s turn to talk about her life and feelings. More importantly, it was about loosing her mother and having only her father to rely on. Considering that she had lost her own mother when she was young, she could relate to Kurenai on this point. Unlike Kurenai though, her father was not the loving, understanding type. He was….stricter to say the least. Still, even she didn’t have her father to confide in, it was comforting to know that Kurenai would serve a similar role for her. As she was laying all of this out, Hinata was tempted to talk about her own. However, she didn’t want to lay too much on Kurenai right now.
”Thank you Kurenai-sensei, both for the compliment and the confidence. I-I hope I didn’t bring up any painful feelings by bringing up those memories of yours. But again, th-thank you for listening to me like this.”
With the conversation flowing back to Naruto, Hinata was just about shocked at the suggestion that Kurenai brought forth to deal with her issues with Naruto. Have someone transform into Naruto and then talk to it? That sounded even creepier than her spying, stalking…whatever you call it on Naruto. That, and involved telling someone of her crush on Naruto so…
”K-Kurenai-sensei, how, how can you even suggest something like that. I-I don’t mean to be rude but it sounds so…creepy.” she blurted out, face completely red in the process of doing so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~~The Heiress of the Hyuuga Clan ~~~
Kurenai stood up and grabbed her glass and walked into the kitchen and poured herself another glass of tea. When she was placing the pitcher back in the fridge she saw a bowl of her strawberries in there. Asmua had brought them over a few days ago and she hadn’t found the time to eat them. She glanced up at Hinata and smiled some and reached in and grabbed the bowl out of the fridge.
She slowly walked back into the living room and sat down. She placed the bowl on the table and took a strawberry and pushed it towards Hinata. ”Help yourself, they are probably about to go bad. Wasting these tasteful fruit just seems so wrong. Asuma picked them up the other day for me.” She had no doubt that Hinata knew who Asuma was considering he was walking out while she was coming up.
She slowly looked over to Hinata when she told her that she didn’t mean to bring up sad memories and what now. She smiled after she took a bit out of the strawberry. ”Memories are tricky aint they? But now you didn’t remind of sad events of my life. My mother died just after my first birthday, the only memories I have of her is the stories my father told me and a headband from the Hidden Grass Village. From what my father told me is that she was a shinobi from there…she is pretty much the reason why I am a shinobi today.” She smiled and closed her eyes as she popped the last bit of the strawberry into her mouth. There was a hint of pride in her voice as she spoke of her mother even though she never knew herself what type of women she was.
Her eyes opened when Hinata spoke up about how creepy her suggestion was about someone transforming into Naruto. She laughed slightly and took a drink of her tea before sitting the glass down on the table. ”Creepy may it be, but it would help in a long run of things…”
She closed her eyes slightly and tapped her fingers against her thumb for a moment. ”Imagine if you are into a fight that someone realizes the affection you hold for Naruto. They could easily transform into him if they know what he looks like and use it against you. If you faint in battle you can easily suffer. So if you get someone to help you and transform into him in training that will lessen the chances of that in battle. You have to look at it in more ways now. You are a shinobi.” She was being completely serious in the matter.
~~~Hinata Hyuuga~~~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hinata watched as Kurenai walked into the kitchen and got more tea. She was a little more surprised to see her come out with some strawberry, offering her some as well. Thanking Kurenai, Hinata took one for herself and at it. She didn’t really comment on the Asuma comment; she just assumed that was the man she had seen earlier and left it at that. After all, she wasn’t there to pry into Kurenai’s personal life, no matter how much Kurenai pried into her own. Nope, she was simply going to look to her for advice on Naruto and munch on the strawberries offered to her.
”Thank you Kurenai-sensei.”
Relieved she didn’t bring up any bad memories for Kurenai, Hinata simply listened while Kurenai talked more about her life. It was about then that Hinata realized no one ever bothered to ask the Academy instructors about their lives. For all the times people complained about them, they never did really bother trying to know more about them. If the students had asked the instructors about their lives like she was doing with Kurenai now, would they have been a little nicer to them? Right now she could truly sympathize with Kurenai; her own mother died when she was young and served as a role model. A little odd she was from Hidden Grass, but what did that matter?
”My own mother died when I was young. She was very kind and caring; you wouldn’t have thought of her as a shinobi at all. I sort of take more from her than my father in that regard I guess.” Hinata responded, feeling it only fair to open up to Kurenai about her own mother as Kurenai was doing the same. Instead of feeling down about that statement, Hinata was a little glad about it. She loved her mother dearly; when training was particularly hard Hinata could always be comforted by her. Now she still loved her father of course, but he wasn’t as open or warm as she was….
”It seems we have a lot in common Kurenai –sensei….” Hinata commented on after thinking through it all. However, a startling difference soon showed when Kurenai suggested she have someone transform into Naruto and practice that way. Hinata called it creepy, but soon Kurenai turned serious and pointed out that someone could use it against her in battle. Hinata was tempted to point out her Byakugan would allow her to see through such falsehoods, but in reality, she doubted that would really change the situation at hand. Still, getting someone else to transform into Naruto? That just didn’t sit right with Hinata.
”W-well, I don’t think someone else doing the job would, would sit right with them. I-it might be easier if I simply used a transformed clone for the same deal. O-or I guess the best thing would be to face down Naruto himself….” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~~The Heiress of the Hyuuga Clan ~~~

Kurenai smiled slightly when Hinata commented that they were a lot alike with their mothers instead of their fathers in a sense. She closed her eyes and thought about all the times she had asked her father about her mother and why she fought for a country with her life. It was the same answer over and over again, but it always placed a smile on her face to hear the answer coming from him. It was something that her father just didn’t understand and it was hard for her to actually explain to him why she wanted to be a shinobi. At first it was because of that what Asuma was doing, but once she knew about her mother and everything had changed.
She finally opened her eyes and looked back at Hinata and smirked some. ”We have to take after one of our parents. Well that is what my dad always used to tell me anyways. I have heard a bit about your father, but I tend to stick my nose in other business then into politics of the clans here. To me they are just troublesome.” She laughed and leaned back after hearing herself. She had three students there were from three different well known clans and now it was about to change. ”I suppose that is about to change to a degree. Aburame, Inuzuka, and the Hyuuga clans. Bugs, dogs, and eyes, hmm that leaves to see how you each get along.” She had a smile on her face as she said that. She had to admit that she was pretty excited about being the sensei of the three of them.
She knew that the Byakugan would see through a lot of genjutsu and it was something that she was going to test for herself once she started training them. It was her job to train them and place them through ordeal to fit their personality and she knew where to start with Hinata now. She tapped her fingers slightly together while she was thinking. She knew she would have to be careful in how she approached this genjutsu and not get caught by her right off the bat. She smirked some and shook her head at a thought.
She looked back to Hinata when she said that it might not sit right and then to use a transformation clone or even go another step closer and track down Naruto himself. The last of the idea was a better one she would have to give the girl that. ”Now you are thinking. Tracking him down would probably be the best one seeing how he can give you real reaction where someone else or your clone could not. Real reactions are better than anything because then you can tell if someone posing as Naruto is real or not.”
She reached over and took another strawberry and took a bit of it. She leaned her elbows on her knees and starred slightly in front of her. Hinata had given her a lot of things to think about and it was going to be fun to get to know her students. She smiled slightly to herself as she thought about the idea of teaching them. She didn’t know how she would do as a teacher, but she was determined not to fail them.

~~~Hinata Hyuuga~~~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hinata was sort of wishing she could be Kurenai right now. While she could laugh off the politics of the clan, Hinata knew she couldn’t. After all, the politics of the clan was basically the entire problem of her life. Her father didn’t think her a worthy heir, the frustration and anger between the Main Branch and Side Branch could split the clan apart, Neji’s life, it was all just so much to handle. It was not as much as a laughing matter that Kurenai was treating it as, and Hinata looked rather uncomfortable with it. However, she wasn’t going to voice her view on it right now; she’d rather Kurenai keep herself in the dark if she didn’t want to deal with it. Besides, she was looking so happy about seeing her students and their skills. It wouldn’t be right to ruin her mood on it. So Hinata just tried to hide the feelings and keep positive, though the success of that was doubtful.
”I-I’m sure each of us will get along very well Kurenai-sensei. They both seem to be pleasant…”
After that brief trip into some darker parts of her mind, Hinata was rather glad to be back to the still awkward but not as uncomfortable talk relating to Naruto. It was a walk in the park compared to possibly have to start discussing the inner politics of the clan or her father. Well, maybe not that far, but at least it was a positive and optimistic topic compared to politics. Apparently Kurenai was fine with the idea on tracking him down and getting the real Naruto’s reactions. Well, Hinata thought she knew how to tell the difference, and the Byakugan was able to see through many genjutsu, but still, she was going to have to confront it all eventually anyways. The question remained, however, on what she actually do when that time comes….
”T-that’s true Kurenai-sensei, but I-I’m not really too sure what it is I need to do or say around him. By now I’m sure he sees me as being rather….weird and all. I’ve fainted before, and usually blamed it on heat or fever, but that’s not going to be a good excuse for any longer….”
Kurenai stole a glance back towards Hinata and saw her faultier just slightly and she wondered if she had said the wrong thing about her clan? She knew that sooner than later that she would have to dig more into the clan, but she had been hoping to avoid it for now. Seeing her student like this however, had clearly pointed that she was going to be wrong this doing this. She would have to go seek her father and ask him a few questions later that day in order to get the clear standing of why the girl was going to be like this about anything clan related.
She closed her eyes to think of a clear reason to be going and getting herself mixed in with the clan dealing. She knew that each of her students was coming from clans within the village, but none of them was like the Hyuuga in a sense. She knew that the Inuzuka Clan was one that she never really wanted to get into a yelling fight and the Aburame clan mainly kept to themselves. The Hyuuga Clan seemed to have more problems than what she heard and she did not want to drag Hinata down with her for information.
Taking the cue from her student she smiled at her when she said that the three of them would get along together nicely. She could not help, but smile at this piece of information mainly because she could see the girl being peace keeper between her teammates if the time came for it. She laughed slightly and leaned back in her seat once more. ”You would rather be the peace keeper than get into an outright fight with someone wouldn’t you?” It was more of an observation question than anything at the moment.
Kurenai listened to the girl and everything that she had done and blamed the situation on for one point or another. She had to admit that all this was sounded weird mainly because she had never dealt with anything like this. Sure she knew her own crush had cost her a few things in her life, but at the moment it was never as bad as what she was seeing through Hinata at the moment.
She smiled slightly and shrugged some. ”Like I said you either need to be in a situation around him or make someone act like him to come over your semi fear of him labeling you as a freak. Though from what I heard I do not think Naruto would just label anyone as that without a good reason behind it.” She decided that it might be wise to give her another encouraging smile and she did so.
~~~Hinata Hyuuga~~~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hinata, for once, was distracted enough she didn’t notice Kurenai seemed to be questioning about the clan through her body language and stuff. The memories brought up were enough to throw off Hinata’s apparently good intuition and deduction skills when it came to people. Still, it wouldn’t have helped much; Hinata was already feeling kind of uncomfortable. Besides, it was starting to get late, so she was going to have to start closing this conversation soon. Still, Kurenai had been a great help towards her; while she wasn’t sure exactly what to do, Hinata was glad to know there was someone she could talk to, someone who unconditionally supported her like this.
However, it was apparently time to assign her ‘role’ in the team as the ‘peace keeper,’ which Hinata could sort of see. After all, she wasn’t a very violent or conflict-oriented person; she was reserved and quiet. She wanted everyone to get along, and while she wasn’t forceful in terms of tone or voice, Hinata did have at least the Hyuuga name to back her up. Also, as Kurenai kept telling her, she was apparently good at reading people. That was always a good trait amongst someone who wanted to keep the team running smoothly and friendly. With all that in mind, she really couldn’t argue with Kurenai’s assessment (there was no way that was a real question).
”Yes, I’d rather avoid a fight if I could. As you’ve probably noticed I’m not a very forceful person…” she responded, but instead of being downtrodden about it, Hinata let out a bit of a weak smile. After all, it was who she was. There was no point in beating herself up about it. That was what Kurenai had been trying to say, right?
With the Naruto question, Kurenai reassured her that Naruto wouldn’t label her ‘weird’ without a good reason. Admittedly, she thought the constant fainting attacks to be ‘weird’, but Naruto had so far not commented on it yet outside of concern and support. With that in mind, it did seem irrational to keep thinking and worrying about it; but the thing was, she couldn’t help it. Was that the way all people were, or was she just being overly worried? Maybe that was what people did when they have a ‘crush’: they get overly concerned about what their crush thought of them. So…did that mean her situation with Naruto was no better than the other girls and Sasuke?
At that thought Hinata remembered her earlier thoughts about it being near time to leave. This conversation had been pleasant, and she was relieved to have Kurenai’s confidence. It was also nice to have someone else know about her crush; keeping it as secret was just so much stress on her to begin with. Gently setting the snacks she had been given down, Hinata stood up and gave Kurenai a respectful bow.
”I-I’m sorry, but I believe it is about time I take my leave. But thank you for listening to me and my problems Kurenai-sensei. It really meant a lot.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~~The Heiress of the Hyuuga Clan ~~~

Kurenai looked over to Hinata when she spoke about not being the most forcefully of people. She smiled some and nodded some about that. It was not a bad thing about not being forceful around people mainly because it would not draw attention to her and allow her to get the upper hand on things from seeing and reading people better. However, at the moment she felt that one day the girl would learn this for herself so she decided not to push the matter for now. There was no reason to get Hinata uptight about something that she had a few more years to learn. Beside it was her job to teach her team how to manage their strength and weakness and not exploit them every chance she got.
She looked at her strawberries on the table and looked back to the girl for a moment. There was something else that she wanted to say, but for now she would leave everything how it was. She felt that she gave the girl more than enough to think about. She could see that the girl was already uncomfortable at the moment. She did not want to push her student before she got the actually training them for the most part. There was plenty of time where she probably would make the girl feel awkward and now was not the best of time to push the matters with the girl.
”You will find your strength one day and your voice. No worries.” She gave the girl a small smile for now and pushed the bowl of strawberries away from her.
She looked up when Hinata said that it was about time for her to leave now. She nodded and stood up and walked the girl towards the door. It was the least she could do for now. ”Hinata, whenever you need to talk I will be here. Day or night, it doesn’t matter. Whenever you need an ear to listen to you or someone to talk to, just drop by. I am never too busy for you, Shino, or Kiba.” She gave her another smile. ”I liked this little talk we had today and hope we can have more of them.” She pushed some of her hair behind her ear as she opened the door for her.
