There are five main elements: Fire (Katon), Wind (Fuuton), Lightning (Raiton), Earth (Doton), and Water (Suiton). Each element is stronger than the element it is pointed towards. So Fire beats Wind which beats Lightning which beats Earth which beats Water which beats Fire etc. The elements, however, can be combined to create several unique elemental combinations that are usually the result of a kekkai genkai. Those combinations are below the main elements and are described in more detail here:
