Skipping school was always a fun thing to do. Konohamaru didn’t have time for shuriken throwing practice. Pff, he had more important things to do! Training to become better than Naruto, for example, had priority over some silly lesson at school.
Sadly, Moegi and Udon were wimps and wouldn’t skip class with him, so instead he would be practicing by himself this fine morning. Far from the school Konohamaru had ventured, doing his best to make sure no sensei would be able to spot him.
The grass was nice and green where he stood, at the area he had ventured to. However, he had not chosen the area because he liked the grass, he chose it because of the large supply of rocks and trees that were present there. It was his favorite spot to train at, isolated in a small clearing in the nearby forest.
Within moments after he started his training, however, the child heard a loud grumbling noise and at the same time felt a pang of hunger in his stomach. Ugh, why hadn’t he thought of eating before coming to his training area…
Sighing, the boy stopped what he was doing and pressed the palm of his hand against his stomach. Couldn’t it wait…? His stomach made another growling sound. Nope.
Konohamaru reluctantly gave in to his body’s demands and headed away from the clearing in order to purchase himself a nice bowl of Ichiraku Ramen. There were a few people consuming their early lunches at the stand, but not too many. Konohamaru frowned slightly, wishing that he could have just remembered to eat breakfast that morning.
Finding a stool to sit on by the counter, the boy sat down and looked at the man behind the counter. He raised a curious eyebrow at the child’s presence at his restaurant, wondering if school had been cancelled for the day or something. Simply ignoring the man’s facial expressions, Konohamaru ordered his brunch. “A bowl of beef ramen, please,” he requested.
After a short wait, the ramen was set in front of Konohamaru and he smiled at the man, handing him the amount of money it cost. He soon broke the chopsticks apart and began to devour the meal, wanting to get back to training as soon as possible. He could only imagine just how far he must be falling behind his rival right now. Stupid stomach!

What a nice day it was. The sun was out, a light breeze was parading through the city, and most of the kids were away at the academy. Not that Haruma had a problem with kids- but she needed a break from her own. Her Genin team, that was. The two girls on her team were nice, as Haruma had expected, but the male seemed to be cold and distant. Not only that, but he never listened to orders. But none of that was important. The relieving thing was that she had no missions as of late, and with her Genin team training individually for the time being, she had a lot of time to herself. A lot of time that was spent doing yoga exercises, relaxing in the park, and a variety of other stress-relieving things. Stress relieving was Haruma's specialty, after all.
As she walked through the marketplace, however, she felt and heard her stomach growl at her. Predictable. She had woken up late, after all, and she was probably hungry from not eating any breakfast yet. Of course at this time it would be something more of a brunch, but it didn't really matter. Food was food, no matter when you ate it. But where to eat? Haruma's eyes scanned the overhead signs and her eyes rested on one called "Ichiraku Ramen". She had never been there, but had heard talk in the Hokage tower that boasted its ramen.
So, deciding it was the best available choice, Haruma proceeded to glide through the near empty streets towards the shop. Her gray cloak fluttered about in the breeze, giving her an enchanting look. Basically what she aimed for. She was the Mistress of Relaxation after all, and people in her clan were often referred to as enchantresses. None of it really actually mattered, but Haruma remembered her mother encouraging her to give off a mystifying cloak. If nothing else, the gray cloak did it.
Haruma brushed aside the small curtain of the shop and stepped inside, quickly scanning the room for anyone she knew. Her chocolate-brown eyes immediately fell on a kid. Not just anyone, but... erm, what was his name again? It didn't really matter. She would refer to him as "The honorable grandson" as everyone else did. She knew immediately it was him- the long blue scarf was a dead giveaway. This kid was trouble though. She'd heard he was pretty rowdy. Probably not exactly the relaxed type either. That would irk Haruma a bit, but as any other ninja her rank, she was pretty tolerable.
Besides, wouldn't it be fun to ask him why he was skipping school?
"Good morning, Honorable Grandson." she said melodically as she took a seat on the stool next to him. "A bowl of chicken ramen, please." she said to the man behind the counter. She hadn't once glanced at the boy yet, though she would imagine that he had a pretty surprised face on. Now what to do? Return him to the academy, or humor him by pretending she didn't know he was skipping? Probably the latter, but in reverse order. He probably didn't know who she was because she didn't hang around the academy a lot.
"How are you this morning?" Haruma asked as for the first time she turned and looked at him. A smile was gracing her lips, and her eyes suddenly gave him their full attention. To a shy boy, the eyes would be piercing. But to someone rowdy like Konohamaru, they'd probably be taken as a good thing. Acknowledgement seemed to be all that the troublemakers wanted.

Now why would some lady just decide to come over and sit in the stool next to him? Weren’t there plenty of other seats she could park herself in? Oh well, it didn’t really matter anyway, it wasn’t like she was bothering him or anything.
… But then she had proceeded to speak, and even referred to him by that stupid title like everyone else did! As he slurped his ramen, the boy glanced sideways at the jonin, bearing a slightly annoyed look on his face. Of course, she knew he was the honorable grandson, but did she even know his real name? Ugh, probably not.
Lifting the chopsticks and shoveling some more noodles into his mouth, Konohamaru inspected the woman more from the corner of his eye, wondering why she had decided to start a conversation with him of all people. He didn’t know who she was, or if she would realize he was skipping school, but he supposed he had to at least respond to her. Afterall, it would be just plain rude to ignore an adult. “Mornin’,” the young boy responded pleasantly as he gulped some more of the broth. He was trying hard to finish it quickly, with the idea in mind that he would leave the restaurant as soon as he was done.
Upon finishing off his meal, the boy let out a relieved sigh and set the now empty bowl down on the counter in front of him. The food had been much better than he thought it would be. Well that confirmed it, this place definitely had the best ramen. Good, now his stomach was happy and would (hopefully) stop complaining so he could get back to work! “I’m good and ready to train!” Konohamaru answered happily, as he looked over at her and grinned.
Being the young kid that he was, he didn't have the common sense to ask her how she was this morning, as she had asked him. Instead, he asked a different, possibly rude sounding, question. “Who are ya anyway, lady?” he raised his eyebrow with curiosity when he asked her.

Haruma could have almost chuckled when she heard the boy's response to her greeting. He was.. surprisingly calm for a boy who must know he was about to be in trouble. After all, it was pretty common knowledge that the Hokage's grandson was training in the academy, and the academy had classes at the moment. Of course, there was the possibility that there was no class that day, but it was doubtful considering Haruma had seen no children roaming the streets.
Haruma couldn't help but notice, however, that the boy had sped up his noodle consumption. So he was aware of the situation after all. Haruma usually wasn't the torturous type, but it was actually pretty entertaining to mess around with kids. They never were quite sure what to do if you caught them in a lie.
A faint laugh escaped Haruma's lips as she heard the boy state that he was ready to train in response to her question. "That's the spirit. You'll never become a strong shinobi if you just sit around and do nothing. I'm sure you want to live up to your father's reputation, after all." Haruma said smoothly, guiding her food into her mouth at a relaxed, yet quick pace. Food would have to wait if this kid was going to retreat, but while he was here, she might as well eat as much as she could.
The next thing the boy uttered was a bit surprising to Haruma, though it shouldn't have been really. He was a little boy after all. But nevertheless, he asked who she was in such a... well, oddly confident way. Had she been her mother, Haruma would have whipped him into place. 'This is how Kiri does it'. That was her mother's catchphrase. Too bad they weren't in Kiri anymore.
"I'm Kyotesk Haruma. A jonin. I've heard plenty about you, honorable grandson." she said, chuckling. "You have quite the reputation for being a troublemaker. I do hope you're not breaking the rules right now." she finished innocently, taking another sip of the broth in front of her calmly. That last statement should have been enough to frighten him a little. If he was a good ninja, he would be able to keep a calm, relaxed state. If not, which was the probability, then he would most likely show signs of fear. 'Heh. How entertaining..' Haruma thought to herself mischievously. [/blockquote]

Smirking at the woman next to him, the child nodded a bit as she talked about him becoming a strong shinobi. Of course he couldn’t just sit around, Naruto taught him that a shinobi had to be strong and train hard if he wanted to achieve his dreams, and he wasn’t about to forget that. After all, he was going to become Hokage someday, so that meant he would have to train hard all the time from now on. “I’m gonna be even better than my grandfather,” the boy stated confidently, as if it was an obvious fact.
Wait a second… what did she just say? Konohamaru immediately looked away from Haruma and choked for a moment on what seemed to be a leftover piece of noodle that had still been in his mouth. Sh- she was a jonin? When his coughing finally ceased, he regained some of his composure and slowly turned his head back in her direction, nervously wondering what she planned on doing to him. She had to know, then, that he was skipping school! Oh, man… now what was he going to do.
But... why did she have to be a jonin!? “T- troublemaker? …Me?” Konohamaru repeated her words trying to act innocent, though the sound of nervousness in his voice was rather obvious. “I think you must be thinkin’ about someone else,” he nodded with a worried smile on his face, meanwhile shifting his eyes slightly in a bunch of random directions attempting to plan his escape.
Okay, operation 'escape this lady', commence! “Nope, not breakin’ any rules at all… ahah ha…” he stated with a nervous laugh as he quickly hopped off his stool and set his feet upon the floor of the restaurant. With a huge fake smile plastered on his face, the boy started to make his way for the exit, hoping he could get away from her and avoid getting into trouble. “Yeah, so… I really should go!” and with that, Konohamaru bolted for the exit with the intention of running through the streets if he had to.

Haruma almost chuckled when the boy stated he was going to be better than the Third. From what she had heard about the 'Honorable Grandson', things didn't seem to be too promising for a person like him. But then again, he was born into the Sarutobi clan. They were supposed to be pretty promising ninja, weren't they? Either way, this kid's confidence almost reminded her of her own Genin squad. They all seemed to have a whole lot of bravado, but only one of them was prone to underestimating things...
After Haruma had explained that she was a Jonin, she got a rather unexpected surprise. The boy started coughing. A lot. Haruma was almost tempted to help him, but instead she just kept her cool and sipped some water out of a glass, not even giving an ounce of attention to the boy. She was curious to see how his cute little act would end up after an outbreak like that.
For the next minute or so, Haruma sat and listened to the boy explain in a stutter how she must have confused him with someone else as far as troublemaking went. This only caused a slightly sadistic smile to spread across the enchantress's face. She hadn't had fun like this in a while- taunting little kids just might be a hobby she would take up. They were almost like little worms, writhing to get away but never out of reach.
And as she made that comparison in her head, the boy bolted for the door. With aged expertise, Haruma's arm shot out and her hand latched onto the blue scarf that was tied around the boy's neck as she yanked him back towards the seat, never bringing her lips away from the cup she held in the opposite hand until he was at her side again.
"A ninja should calculate his competition and be wary of a stronger and more lethal opponent. Stealth plays into the factor as well, for if you really wanted to sneak out of school, a ramen shop wasn't the best place to do it." she said evenly, setting her glass down. "Now then. What to do with you? Should I send you back to the academy, or send you straight back to your grandfather?" [/blockquote]

Yes! He was so close to it now, he was just about to step out of the restaurant's exit, then he would be home free! Now he could go back to his training area and practice all day and--“W—Ahh!!” the boy uttered in surprise as he felt his scarf get caught on something. An expression of fear appeared on his face as he started to realize he wasn’t going to get out of this one unscathed. Quickly, the child’s hands shot up to the part of the scarf that rested around his neck in an effort to take the scarf into his own hands and pull it free without choking himself. It was too late for him though, the jonin was, of course, far too quick for him.
Konohamaru soon found himself being dragged right back to where the woman had been sitting all this time, being strangled by his own scarf as he struggled to break free. However, the more he pulled, the harder she seemed to pull him in response until he was finally back at her side again. Terror filled the boy even more now. “Well, I uh...” damn it, she was right! He knew he shouldn’t have taken so much time to eat his ramen. Or maybe it would’ve been smarter to have just gone the morning without eating and then waited until school had gotten out before he got something to eat! Well, it was too late now. He was busted...
Sweat practically poured down his face as the woman tried to decide what to do with him. No way was he going to school now, he’d get into even more trouble! And his grandfather… well he was probably already mad enough at him for his behavior recently, he didn’t want to anger him further. “Hey! Let me go! I’m not goin’ anywhere with you!” the boy squealed, still struggling to escape. His fear caused him to start to act in a more aggresive and rude manner. “You can’t treat me like this, lady! I’m the Hokage’s grandson!” he pulled at his scarf even harder now but it still wouldn’t budge.
Meanwhile, the few people in the restaurant who had been trying to eat their meals watched the woman and child, some of them shaking their heads at Konohamaru’s insolence, others starting to get frustrated that they couldn’t eat their meals in peace. Not that he cared what they thought; it wasn’t as if it was any of their business anyway!

Haruma sighed as he felt the boy struggling against her grasp. It was absolutely nothing she couldn't handle, but his shouting was getting annoying and it was drawing attention. Knocking him out seemed like a fun thing to do, but not in such a public place. Doing such a thing would only draw more attention, and quite honestly, she didn't want to deal with explaining something like that to the Hokage. Sure, he would be disappointed that his son skipped school, but that gave Haruma no right to knock the lights out of him. Though it was doubtful there was any brightness in that head..
Either way, Haruma quickly ruled out that idea. But then what to do? She didn't want to disturb the people peacefully eating nearby, and she definitely didn't want to upset the management on her first time here. Speaking of the management, she would have to pay. Releasing the grip on Konohamaru's scarf quickly, her left hand grasped a full head of hair as her right moved into her pocket. She would take her dandy time doing this, because honestly, Konohamaru couldn't escape. Even one hand on him was enough to keep him held down- at least for a Jonin like Haruma.
With her right hand, she quite easily laid out the money on the table and thanked the man behind the counter, as well as his daughter. It seemed Ichiraku was family run. That was a nice touch, but nothing Haruma would ever do. If she tried to run a restaurant with her mother, well, things wouldn't go so well. Her family may be known for being relaxed, but the women tended to be a little more on the dictatorship side. In fact, Haruma couldn't remember a day when her mother wasn't ordering her around viciously and then telling her to relax. Tch. The woman had some bipolar issues.
But fortunately, her mother wasn't the concern at the moment. All she had to deal with was this brat, who was screaming a bunch of nonsense that she didn't want to hear. One thing that stuck out to her, however, was that he said she had no right to treat him how she was. All because of his lineage, and that his grandfather was the Hokage. Haruma smiled. "And what a disappointed Hokage he must be, to know that his grandson is skipping school. Not only that, but he chose to ignore some of the basic ninja rules, such as calculating his opponents strength and choosing to be stealthy." she said calmly, forcing him to turn to face her, both of her hands gripping his shoulders. "Oh, not to mention that his grandson is acting like an infant."
She finished with that, merely gazing into his eyes with her own chocolate brown ones. However, she didn't give him much time to retaliate- only about five seconds. "An kids who act like infants will be treated like infants." And with that, Haruma hoisted the boy up into the air with one quick movement and rearranged him so that he was being cradled. A small smirk threatened to creep onto her face. "Let's take a walk, shall we?" [/blockquote]

Man, this lady just didn’t give up! Konohamaru couldn’t stand it anymore, he just wanted to get out of the damn ramen shop. But she just wasn’t going to let him. Who cared about school anyway? It wasn’t like today’s lesson was going to be any more important than his solo training. Speaking of which, it seemed that he was wasting so much time with this lady at the ramen shop that he might as well have just gone to school, considering that he was pretty much losing all that extra time that he had intended on using for practicing his jutsu!
As he felt her hold release from his scarf, he almost made a run for it, but before he could even finish considering it she had already shoved her grubby hand at his head and grabbed hold of his hair. “Ugh, that hurts. I’m serious, you witch! You’d better let go of me!” he cried out as she took her time paying for her ramen like the witch she was. He became even more infuriated when he realized that she wasn’t even paying any attention to him! No, she was too busy pretending to be nice by thanking the man behind the counter and his daughter too. But Konohamaru knew that it was all fake, it was all just an act! This lady was pure evil! Couldn’t they see that?
The boy was directing his line of sight away from the jonin, but he still caught that evil smile that she had out of the corner of his eye. “My grandfather will be proud of me when I’m a great ninja! I don’t need stupid shuriken throwing lessons when practicing my jutsu is obviously more important!” he yelled, ignoring the part about him ignoring some of the basic ninja rules.
When she turned him to face her, he looked at her with a glare. An… infant? There was no way this lady was going to get away with calling him an infant! No way! But all he had time to do before she picked him up and started to carry him like some little baby was to let out a low-pitched growl at her.
A walk now? Was she kidding?! Alright, he’d had it with this! Konohamaru struggled as much as he possibly could, wanting to get out of this ‘cradled’ position as soon as possible. Ugh, just the thought of it made him shiver. “Okay, you asked for it!” he yelled right before forming the hand sign used for a transformation jutsu. “Oiroke no Jutsu [Sexy Technique]!” he called out, transforming into a rather nice looking woman who was, well, let’s just say his clothes didn’t come along for the transformation.
