Perhaps it was being a little uncharacteristic of Tenten to snap at someone in such a manner, but being interrupted in the middle of a spar was something that she found simply rude. Perhaps he hadn't intended it, but then again, Tenten wasn't one to waver on her decisions, either. She made her decision, rolled with it, and that was that. When Hyosuke took a shot at her self-control, however, she twitched, rather visibly. Perhaps it was overly violent, but she really wanted to hit Hyosuke for that. Regardless, she had self-control, and she would display it willingly. If her dislike for the boy wasn't already clear with her demanding statement, then it surely would be soon.
Tenten scoffed mentally as Lee brought up the fact that he could be another training partner. She had a feeling this kid didn't even know how to properly utilize a pair of tonfa... But then again, he would make a nice demonstration, too, and it wasn't like she had to worry about lack of skill. Clearly if he used a pair of tonfa, she could use her nicer ones... And Lee could see the difference between using the bladed ones and using the iron set that hung from Hyosuke's belt. Tenten was the trainer at the moment, after all, and it wouldn't have hurt to have another person for that. She could also take out her minute amount of irritance on him, too.
As he scoffed at Lee's Taijutsu, however, Tenten herself scoffed back. "Pardon me if it's a little arrogant, but Taijutsu is a very high component of using a tonfa, so in a sense, you're incorrect in the fact that training with Lee would not help your ability with the tonfa," the weapons mistress stated, her voice taking on that teacher-like tone she had been using with Lee. And in all reality, she was correct. For one, she wasn't a weapons mistress without a reason, and for two, she'd trained with both of her Taijutsu-utilizing comrades for a period of year now, which meant she'd had to learn to compensate.
"And, not to mention, would there not be a reason that Lee is learning to use the tonfa? Because it compliments his abilities, and broadens his range of fighting ability." In a sense, she was glad she was able to clearly point out such obvious mistakes in the boy's ability. She wasn't trying to be arrogant or make herself look better; in all simplicity, she was actually helping him. She was aiding him in learning how to use the tonfa. Regardless, it wouldn't have hurt to have a demonstration.
"Say, why don't you join us, now that I think about it; Lee could probably learn better how to use them from two people who know how to use them rather than just one," she said, throwing the offer out. Her voice had changed a little; she was a little more friendly, though her dislike of his interruption was still slightly there, even if he'd apologized before about the incident. "We could have a bit of a spar and show Lee the differences between using bladed tonfa and iron tonfa, as there is a significant change between the types."

^^^Rock Lee^^^ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lee was rather oblivious to the more rude aspects of Hyosuke’s behavior towards him. All he understood was that the kid didn’t want to train with him as he thought there was nothing to gain from doing so. Lee didn’t understand such a concept; there was always something to gain from training. Whether it was new skills, new strategies against opponents, or even just an excuse to get a workout there was purpose in training against someone. Sure, he didn’t know how to use tonfa that well since he was just starting training in them, but that didn’t make him worthless. Still, one can not force training on someone; they had to go at with their full heart for it to matter.
With his ignorance, Lee didn’t understand that TenTen was sticking up for him when she started talking about him being wrong with his views. Still, she had the same idea as he had; that there was something worthwhile in fighting him with tonfa, although her focus was still on the tonfa part and all that. So he had to add in his own word.
”That is right TenTen. Any kind of training is worthwhile. Even if I do not provide a good challenge in tonfa-fighting, the exercise and physical exertion you would receive would still make it all worthwhile. No training is worthless if you think of it that way.” He said with a grin, giving the kid a small thumbs up. It was one of Gai’s many lessons, and Lee was glad to pass it on to another person. It was the gift that kept on giving after all.
TenTen continued on with her speech, giving the boy the reason he was training in tonfa. Well, Lee hadn’t expected to be taught tonfa, just weapons in general. But they would prove useful for him, extending his range in a hand-to-hand fight and providing some much needed defense. He was all attack and no block; he had to dodge attacks to avoid damage. So having the tonfa would help him in that department as well. It was what she said afterwards that caught Lee’s attention. TenTen agreed with him; this kid could be a training partner! The more the merrier was Lee’s belief, and with two opponents he could learn twice as fast, right?
What he didn’t expect was her explaining what she wanted to do; spar against him and have him watch. He hated to just sit back and watch; he wanted to be a part of the action. Sitting didn’t help him at all; he was more of a hands on learner and all that stuff. Still, with his current level of skill there is no way he’d be able to handle a fight against TenTen using the bladed tonfa. So if he wanted to see it in action, he was going to have to watch the spar. Still, he was going to have to see about getting a deal out of TenTen.
”All right TenTen, that sounds like a plan. However, once you two are done sparring, would I be able to take both of you on in a fight? I must work on dealing with multiple opponents at once. Besides, I want to see who would win; my taijutsu or your tonfas? It would just be a friendly match.” he added in before standing back up and backing off a bit so the kid could get out of the bush and into the open. They were friends; there was no need to hide from friends. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ^^^Konoha’s Handsome Green Devil^^

Hyosuke watched Tenten defend Lee the way she did. It was to be expected seeing how they were team mates. He really did not understand the relationship between the teammates. He had not been on his for long and never really bonded with anyone that was from his group. He was not sure how to take to her statement about how Taijutsu would help him in the long run. He knew taijutsu was there with his attacks and all, but he did not feel like taking a deadly blow if he didn’t have to from someone that was on the same side he was.
Hyosuke looked over to Lee again and then back to Tenten has she seemed too calmed down. He noticed that Lee did not take to his insult about the taijutsu and the self control statement. It was just like how it was back in the academy with Lee, but that really didn’t shock Hyosuke. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes trying to think exactly what he had gotten himself into. He knew it was not a good idea to insult someone of the same village, but there were times that it needed to be down and he thought that this was one of those times.
Hyosuke looked up to Tenten again when she suggested that him and her show Lee how to use the tonfa. They blow had experience in these weapons that Lee did not. He could see how this would help him, but at the same time Lee was also agreeing with her and wanted to take the both of them on. He did not need any broken rips or any other bones because of a training session against the overly green ninja.
Still Hyosuke did not think he could pass up this moment to fight with Tenten. She was offering after all, though he was not sure exactly what her goal was at the moment. He knew it could be a shot against him and make him look back in front of Lee, but he was able to do ninjutsu and genjutsu. The only problem with trying to pull genjutsu on Lee was the fact that Hyosuke barely knew it himself. His father and cousin had told him a few times that his skills were in ninjutsu and taijutsu.
Hyosuke knew that he could not be laid up in a hospital bed. He had to take care of his sister and meet up with his team sooner or later when they were assigned a Jounin sensei. He looked over to Tenten and nodded slightly. ”I can spare a few moments to spare with you to show Lee, how to use the tonfa. However,” Hyosuke said calmly and turned his attention over to Lee. ”Training with you at this time, I must decline. I have other responsibility to deal with that does not need me ended up with a few crack ribs.” He did not mean to sounded rude in anyway, but it was how he spoke. He spoke his mind and he did not care if Tenten was going to defend Lee this time or not.
Hyosuke moved away from the tree and pulled out one of his tonfa. He looked at it before pulling out the other and twirling it in his hand for a moment. He slowly looked at Tenten and watched her bladed ones. He heard about them and watched his cousin with an odd set of his, but never touched or fought another with them. ”I wonder how good she is with them…I don’t care if my ass is kicked by her. I can learn her moves and use them against Daisuke…I might be able to win too against him…that would show Dad…” He took a deep breath and tapped his fingers against the handle slightly. ”Ready, when you are Tenten.”

Tenten was glad that she'd be able to show Lee what using tonfa in a real spar would look like, against someone who truly knew how to use them. It would prove as a useful tool for Lee to learn, regardless of his eagerness to try it himself. She knew he could learn by watching... And Lee was quite an observant person, too. Perhaps he didn't quite have the perception that she did, but all the same, he could pick out certain aspects of certain situations, and could mold them to his own way of learning.
As Hyosuke gave her the go-ahead to start, Tenten took the opportunity to strike as soon as she possibly could. Her smaller size gave her a bit of a speed advantage, not to mention that she was clearly confident in her ability to take this boy on. She already had the bladed pair of tonfa in her hand, so she had no need to worry about having to pick them up.
Her first strike was towards Hyosuke's ankle, in an attempt to hit a pressure point near there with her foot. Her next strike, however, was hopefully a bit unexpected; she soon swiped at Hyosuke's upper body with one of the tonfa, and the other sliced at him diagonally from shoulder to hip. Against Lee, she wouldn't have been so intent to attack so dangerously, but she trusted Hyosuke's skill. She was clearly confident that she wouldn't harm him; he knew how to use tonfa, and he probably knew how a pair of bladed ones worked, too, or at least a relative idea of how they did. This would meant that he'd be able to read her movements far enough ahead to be able to defend them.
After she'd finished her round of attacks, she would go on the defensive, waiting for either another opening or for Hyosuke to attack her.
[[short and crappy, I know. Dx I just had no idea what to write...]]

^^^Rock Lee^^^ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- So Hyosuke did not want to train with him because he thought that he might crack some ribs? Wow, Lee took that as a compliment. It meant that Hyosuke thought Lee strong enough to be able to damage someone so painfully. Lee actually smiled at the thought of it, though there was a dark side to it. It meant that Hyosuke must have also thought Lee had no self-control and couldn’t hold back if needed. Lee knew he could get a bit ‘far out’ with his training, but he had never purposely injured a teammate in a fight. Only by accident, never on purpose. Lee’s mood was brought back down to his normal level of optimism and cheer.
”Well Hyosuke, I am glad you think I could damage you in such a way, but do not fear. If I was to train with you, I would not injure you in such a way. I am fully capable of restraining myself from hurting a teammate…on purpose. I will admit to possibly being able to injure you by accident. I have not cracked any ribs though.” Lee responded, giving a bit of a goofy smile in hoping that an improved mood on his part would increase everyone’s mood.
Now it was time for the two of them to begin their spar. Lee knew better than to get in the way of TenTen’s sparring, and so he moved off to the side and sat cross-legged on the ground. His eyes were wide with attention, ready to soak in every piece of knowledge that he could from this. Just in case, he also took out his notebook and pencil, ready to draw diagrams of anything important. It was amazing how well one could learn from looking at stick people when needed.
Soon the fighting began. TenTen went for the first strike with all her usual grace and speed. He just hoped she didn’t hurt the poor guy too bad with those bladed tonfa. She first went for the ankle, something Lee would have done with his own taijutsu. Knocking the opponent off their feet was a great way to get them at your mercy and throw them off balance. Next she went to attack Hyosuke’s torso her bladed weapons. That seemed a little dangerous for a sparring, but Lee had to trust that TenTen knew what she was doing. Also, Hyosuke was supposed to be good at using tonfa, so hopefully he would block them as well. In any case, Lee was watching intently to make sure he kept an eye on foot movement and positions. Might Gai had taught him the basics of how to read movement by feet, and this was a great way to practice that skill. Two training sessions in one! What a great day for him. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ^^^Konoha’s Handsome Green Devil^^

Hyosuke paid Lee no mind to what he said about hurting him on purpose. He did not need to be taken off missions because of the lack of someone losing control in a mist of training. He could not afford to allow his bloodline to activate either because of Lee. ”You can think my choice is all about you, Lee, but I have other issues than fighting a non-ninjutsu user.” He did not care how rude he sounded or how much Tenten would take out on him for it. He was not going to listen to Lee or Tenten on the matter.
He saw how Tenten was rushing at him. One blade towards his ankle and it looked like she was about to upper slice him with the other. He tilted his head slightly and saw Lee out of the corner of his eye with a pencil and pad out. He had to roll his eyes slightly about that. He never knew anyone that could learn or write that way. His attention, however, was drawn back to Tenten has he pulled out his other tonfa in his hand. He glared slightly at her. He knew hitting the blades head on would only side his against it. Hitting it at an angel might work, but he was not too sure about that either. He had never been up against a blade tonfa user so he would have to take things a bit slowly until he got to see how they worked closely.
He watched her movements closely and saw that she was not taking him lightly. This made him want to smirk some, but he held back. He flipped around his tonfa in his right hand and grabbed it on it’s side. He let the blade hit against the handle and the body of the tonfa. He pushed himself back slightly and used the other tonfa to hit the other blade pushing up. He was not going to go down just because she could capture him off guard this early in their little game. He went to kick her with his foot and pulled away with the blade that caught tone one near his ankle and went to smack her in the arm with it.
