PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Hanabi is a young seven year old girl. She is the youngest daughter of the current head of the Hyuuga clan and next in line to be his heir. Though young she trains hard with father or by herself almost constantly while she not at her lessons at the academy. She stands just over four feet high and weigh in at about 63 pounds. But don’t let her size fool you. Hanabi is a quick learner and is second only to her cousin Neji. She has the seemingly pupil less eyes that characterize the Hyuuga clan. Her dark hair is waist length and left to swing freely in the wind. She is flexible which is common to her families train but isn’t delicate or fragile. She is powerful and reminds one more of a steel blade then a flower.
Hanabi is five years younger then her older sister Hinata and being only seven still possesses the straight unaltered lines of a young child. She seems strong for her age and size. While not overly muscular she works out regularly as part of her training. This gives her an athletic build similar to that of a female gymnast. Her eyes appear in some lights off white or a light shade of lavender rather then the full on white that they actually are. These are tricks of lighting.
CLOTHING DESCRIPTION:
Hanabi being the daughter of the head of her clan and Heir Apparent has several outfits. Some are very formal and some are not so formal like he work/training clothes. Also special occasions call for special outfits. On such occasions she wears what her father tells her to wear not that she doesn’t normally. Most of her life is dictated by her father. Her normal every day clothing choice is to wear the training outfit which seems to be standard for the Hyuuga clan as her older sister and cousin have similar outfits as does her father. Although standard each outfit as minor alteration to suit the wearer’s preferences. Hanabi’s outfit is made up of no sleeved black top with a fishnet undershirt and long black pants. Some times she wears a silver necklace on top but not when she is actually training. She also wears the standard ninja shoes while out and about but goes bare foot in the house as is their custom.
For semi formal occasions such as family meetings or dinners and also on days where she isn’t training she has a few nice robes in shades of cream, ivory and white. These are worn with a wide black sash. Her hair is worn down as with her training outfit. Sometime she will add a hair ornament or two. These robes are similar to her father’s. Hanabi likes the traditional look of these robes and is pleased to wear them.
For very formal occasions she has two sets of dress-robes a set in purple and a set in red. These robes she need help getting into so she only wears them for very formal occasions. These robes have that own shoes that go with them.

PERSONALITY:
Hanabi has really two options when dealing with politics. The public opinion and her private behind closed doors one. She doesn't like these two opinions to mix. The public personality is used for anywhere where other people might see and make judgments on her and her clan by her actions. This can include her own home outside the safety of her own room. If she is in mixed company family and non-family, she is likely to be quiet and composed. She never smiles or shows outward signs of emotion in public save for certain times. Beneath her blank and neutral face is a mind that is taking everything in. Hanabi is observant and knows when to speak and when to listen. Public was public and private was just so, the two worlds did not mix.
It is an act, which she must play for the good of the clan even if she seems to scorn her elder sister when out side the safety of her rooms. Hanabi often has to think of the clan's reputation before doing things now that she is in an altered position. This is the main reason for her reserved public persona. Hanabi could not risk bring shame on her father and by extension her clan. It would kill her in way to know that she had done so. Hanabi truly loves her sister and wishes the best for her in all things. She would die before admitting this weakness to the world however. That was just how she was. Private and guarded even around friends and some cases her family as well.
Hanabi has a strong personality and knows how get what she wants out of people. She can be quite kind when it suits her needs or very cruel bordering on ruthless for the same reason. Hanabi will quietly show scorn by ignoring anyone she views as beneath her notice. Her family is most important to her above all else. She wants desperately to make her father and her clan proud of her. Her drive and determination keeps her from mischief. She will do nothing that will cause her father to decide she is unworthy of being his daughter. Hanabi does not want him to have to look any farther then her for the next heir to the clan.
It is in private behind locked and closed doors that she lets her guard down and some times not even then. Hanabi would meet her sister for a talk before she went to bed some nights. She confides in her sister Hinata at these times. Hanabi could quietly ask advice or vent in the relive safety of her rooms. It was to Hinata alone that Hanabi talks to in such an unguarded manner. She hoped her sister did not hate her for taking her place for Hinata was too kind for such things. It would hurt her if her sister begun to hate her.
Hanabi’s relationship with her elder sister Hinata is somewhat strained by the proceedings of their father. Hanabi was witness to a scene that denounced her sister and that disturbed her a good deal. She was aware that her sister was not first choice for the next leader. It was all over the compound, how she could not know. It was a breach of decorum for her father to air family trouble in front of non-family. An act that had shocked Hanabi to the core she had not known her father do such a thing before. However, she wisely chose not to show it, as it would have been worse for her to question her father in front of non-family. It also gave her a new depth to ponder over in her bed at night.
Hanabi doesn't think of the branch house often. She was told they existed to serve the main house and that was that. She doesn't scorn them or really think they are less then herself. She knows that there is hand sign that could punish them. Hanabi thinks that too harsh a punishment for slight infractions causes rebellion. She also think that the some in the main house abuses that ability because its easier then winning good behavior. Fear should be tempered at least with some mercy but not too much or the branch house might get 'ideas'. Family strife could spill out into public and that would not do.
To her cousin Neji personally, she is unaware of her close kin ship to him. She knows of him but not in any personal way. He is simply a caged bird, one of the branch house. She believed that he was given the honor to protect the main house heirs ie herself and Hinata but couldn't be totally sure on that point. Hanabi believes she to be the strongest of the new generation but does not know about Neji’s abilities, which surpass her own. If she did know, it would bother her and force her to train that much harder to catch up to him possibly sacrificing her health in the process.
HISTORY:
Hanabi is of the main branch of clan Hyuuga one of the strongest clans in Konohagakure or just Konoha for short. Her position in the clan is a strange one for as the second child she should have been a branch member of her clan and not of the main house. Things worked in the Hyuuga clan in times passed this way. the lesser children were consigned to the branch house. It was used, as a way to keep infighting down and to keep the younger siblings loyal to the family. What else would keep a younger sibling, or several groups of younger siblings, from breaking way and forming a new clan in another land? Soon there secrets would be leaked all over the countryside. It was a valid fear, it happened once and what came of it was the Uchiha clan. It was after that period that they began work on what would eventually culminate in the ‘caged bird seal’.
Her position is made even stranger by the fact that she is being groomed to lead the clan when the time comes. Hanabi is the second child of Hiashi Hyuuga current leader of the Hyuuga clan. In times past, her elder sister Hinata was the slated heir of the Hyuuga clan. Now it is uncertain which of the two sisters will be chosen, popular vote leans towards Hanabi. Then their father turned his sights to his second daughter, Hanabi, tested her, and found her much stronger then her sister. She had the potential to lead the clan in temperament as well. all of which was found to be very pleasing by the clan elders and their father. It was very possible they had a new heir in Hanabi. Time would tell for sure but it was a very good start.
Hiashi soon began the same grueling training that Hinata failed at with Hanabi who succeeded and excelled at it. She is not in Academy long hours yet, as she has not started the practical ninja training courses yet, just the informational ones. The practical studies start at eight years olds when you formally entered the academy with ultimate goal of become ninja. As a result, she trains at home in the use of weapons and of course the clan jutsu and stances. Hanabi would be trained as a fighter in the families style, she was young but promising.
This is done under the stern gaze of her father or one of the elders. Hanabi is young but a very quick study and has already surpassed her sister in her skills with the clan jutsu though five years her junior. In the discussion, Kurenai had with their father Hanabi learned that the Hyuuga did not need as weak an heir as Hinata. She was in the process of her training with her father when the woman came in. She was allowed to catch her breath for a moment while they talked. What she does not know is that Hinata heard the conversation too. Hanabi has much work to do and has the needed drive to get it done.
This was her seventh year, which was a very lucky year for her. For one thing it was the year she could start officially attending the acemdy though her father probably wouldn't allow her to go on more dangerous missons that ninja could get into. If she played her cards right her father might actually name her as his Heir Apparent even over her sister, which meant she could not be deposed very easily. The Strength of that favored position would give her peace of mind. Right now, this and her training are all she cares about focusing on. Hanabi does not know much of the recent history of her clan. She knows the basic stuff like that her family is well respected and that they are strong but nothing beyond that.
Her place was as heir not assured and if she didn't do well at the acemedy she could be in alot of trouble. The kind of trouble she could be potentially in did not bare thinking about. Hanabi could be disowned if did not do well and she knew it. If it could happen once it could again just as easily. She was detremained not to fail at this critical test of worth and in a way self worth.

KEKKAI GENKAI / CLAN JUTSU:
The Hyuuga clan were one of the founding noble families of Leaf village. The clan itself is said to be the ancestors of the Uchiha clan who possess the bloodline of the Sharingan eye. Each clan member possess the "Byakugan" or "White Eye." When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the internal chakra circulation system in other beings. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings. The higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blindspot that extends outwards from their upper back.
The clan uses this ability in conjunction with their own chakra creating the Juuken (gentle fist) fighting style. By focusing the chakra to their finger tips, they can press the tenketsu or chakra pressure points of their opponents body. When the finger nears the tenketsu the chakra is forced out, collasping the targetted tenketsu for a period of time. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.
These great powers lead to internal strife within the family. Because the eye grants such a unique and powerful ability, the clan became possessive and over-protective of it. Seeing only the main family as worthy users and inheritors of the eye, the heads of the clan began to place restrictions on those branch family members not in power. What resulted were two Hyuuga lines, the powerful main family who would represent the line, and the branch family who were directed to protect the main family and bear the cursed seal.
The cursed seal is placed on the foreheads of branch family members. It serves as a means to protect the secrets of the Hyuuga Byakugan eye. If the branch family member was to ever betray the main family or be killed in battle, the seal would be activated to destroy the body's secrets. Thus forcing the branch family to further bow to the will of the main family.
CHAKRA NATURE
JUTSU:
~ Gentle Fist[ (柔拳, Jūken)]:: The Gentle Fist (柔拳, Jūken) is a style of hand-to-hand combat that aims to inflict internal damage and disrupt a body's Chakra Pathway System so as to ultimately inhibit an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user surgically injects a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The infiltrating chakra can then be used to rupture or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu.
Targeting the Tenketsu can enhance the havoc and control a Jūken user can impose upon an opponent's chakra network. These special nodes, 361 in total, are key gatekeeping interceptions in the chakra circulatory network, thus forcibly opening or sealing them in whatever manner the Jūken-user sees fit is a powerful tactical option to have. Harming the chakra network in this way can directly damage internal organs due to their proximity to the chakra circulatory system. Even the slightest tap can cause severe internal damage, hence the name "gentle" fist.

RP SAMPLE: Hanabi was walking to her lessons at the academy outwardly calm but inwardly working out her problems. She wondered what the woman's name was. She would have to find out from Hinata and perhaps pay her a discreet visit. It would have to be very hush-hush of course, but Hanabi wanted to ask the woman to make sure Hinata was okay. She hoped to restore some of Hinata's favor with the clan but had to make sure of her own place in it first. She couldn’t balk conventions too much she had seen what her father could do. It was the thought of being disowned that gave her pause. She would have to be careful. Her ultimate goal regarding Hinata was to make her an advisor to herself. First Hinata needed to heal emotionally before she would be of any use to Hanabi in that line.
It was done now. Her father had done what she had been privately expecting for some time. It was how he did it surprised Hanabi though. He had called her sister such a name before non-family?! That was just not done if only because it could be used as black mail. She was now quietly thinking of how drastically her fortunes and her sister's had changed that day. It had changed their lives and she wasn't even sure if Hinata knew to what extent their father had taken it. She would have to find out maybe talk to her sister about it. Hanabi felt privately that Hinata had a right to know even if the news was bad. This made up her mind and strengthened her resolve to do right by her sister.
Her mind turned to her up coming lessons she found most of her class mates as very immature. She had few friends in her class or outside of it for that matter. She had more important things to do then play some silly games or socialize. Hanabi was in the class to learn and that was in it. She would only concede to notice those who were important to her from a political stand point. Hanabi greeted the hokage with respect and so to the young grand son of the hokage, likely to become one himself. She felt they were worthy people to get to know personally. He was a grade a head of her in academy and had the given name of Konohamaru she believed. From what she had heard he was a bit of a clown which she didn’t like one bit but then no one was completely perfect.
Hanabi thought that she should introduce hers elf to the honorable grandson as he was better known. Perhaps this meeting would be of mutual benefit she could teach the boy some manners perhaps. By this time Hanabi had reached the school grounds and went coolly in inside not bothering to look at the many shouting children playing just before lessons.
